I mean if we are watching Denzel movies check out Macbeth and Inside Man.
I really like Red One … amusing Holiday movie.
I seem to be the only one that has watched this and I didn’t like it as much as I wanted to. I thought the resolution was dumb and obvious. When I say that, people are flabbergasted that I felt that way. Oh, well, art is in the mind of the beholder.
Though I will say that the cast was superb, Fiennes was excellent, but Tucci, OMG he was great!
Tucci’s Documentary “Searching for Italy” was an amazing foodie tour. I learned a lot about Italian cuisine and new cooking tricks for making some of my favorites from the show.
My kids want to watch that but the reviews were SO bad that I’ve skipped it. I like Simmons and Evans, but am kinda done with The Rock.
simmons and evans are fantastic as is the young blonde from Young Sheldon and the new Ghostbusters.
I liked it but it is total trash, smut, garbage script. Like House of Cards and Succession for Catholics.
Loved Inside Man. I think Clive Owen is fantastic. He seems to be selective in his roles.Children of Men was particularly vivid.
One of the great cinematography scenes is the scene at the refugee center (was it?) with the war happening all around them. It was just exquisite filmmaking.
Tarantino shows it every Christmas season at The New Beverly Theater because it is in fact a Christmas movie.
Speaking of… Seeing a Triple feature there this weekend. Muppets Christmas Carol, National Lampoon’s Christmas and Earnest Saves Christmas. I know class theater!
Rogue Heroes on Prime. Can’t wait for the 2nd season.
Watched the Kennedy Center Awards last night. Thought the whole thing was well presented and performed. Particularly touching was the Bonnie Raite tribute and the Apollo Theater.
I love Brandi and I love Bonnie but Brandi shouldn’t be allowed near a Bonnie song. Bonnie I saw last fall in ABQ and she still has it. Brandi is still a top 3 concert for me.
The Six Triple Eight. Just imagine serving your country while suffering racial and gender discrimination. Sigh…
Ah, thank goodness that’s all in the bygone days of America’s past. /s
My letterbox review: “ Emilia Pérez swings for the fences with its wild blend of musical numbers, cartel drama, and a dash of gender politics, and I respect the ambition. But man, those tropes—it’s like they dumped the script in a bucket of clichés and said, “Yeah, this’ll do.” Still, I can see it finding its tribe among folks who love a messy, over-the-top spectacle. It’s bold, it’s weird, and while it’s not for everyone, it’s got a certain swagger you can’t help but root for.”
Probably my fav Zoe Saldaña film. Karla Gascón is a star.
It’s A Wonderful Life.
Nuff said.
