Not a series or a movie, super short take. I’m not a Southern Comfort guy, but this dude is my hero. The middle aged lady glasses, the dress shoes, the dog following him, the shoulder dip salute to the young ladies. This guy has it going on!
Wife has me bingeing on this.
I forgot just how funny this show was…and Amazon didn’t even formally announce it was going to be streaming it like it does with other classics.
I thought Northern Exposure was tied up and not available to streamers due to the cost of the music licensing. Glad to see it is now up.
Another one that I would love to see be on one of the services is Homicide: Life on the Street, but apparantly the licensing rights for the music used is humongous, and subbing in new music is apparantly also quite difficult and expensive. It is sad to think that one of the best shows ever on television will not have an audience the way a lot of sitcoms and dramas from years past have.
Speaking of which: Giamatti seems like a pretty cool guy.

Agreed. Beautiful a movie as terrifying
watched a documentary at the Sundance Film festival today called “Never Look Back”. It was about the life of a CNN war camera women. She was an adrenalin junkie who loved to cover wars. At one point a sniper shot her and blew her jaw off and her fight to get her life back. Pretty compelling story.
Women are warriors.
Women are brave.
Women are strong .
Watched this based on the recommendations. Robin Williams was excellent.
Went to Atlanta this weekend to see Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s “Restless Leg Tour.” If it gets near you it’s a fun variety show. Plus, you will get bonus points for taking the ladies as you will be one of maybe 10% male audience.
It is a great movie. The tension between the two protagonists of the film made me anxious, which one was going to lose it first or screw over the other person because of their situation and unhappiness.
So many musicians, fans of musicians and people with “big ears” on Utefans.net.
Ya’ll might appreciate this just released video as much as I did. I watched it through tears of joy and watched it again.
If you like British humor, “Wild Target” on Amazon Prime
Downloaded this film for my flight today. I love stuff like this.
I Think the coolest part is knowing that some of the 45 or so talent in the room are all eyes on each other. Some have major talent but not nearly as famous as Dylan, but he looks the most uncomfortable throughout. Yet there is a real comraderary and collaboration. A real tenderness pervades the occasion. I was going to post this on the musican thread first cuz it feels more like hight school kids in a garage working through their first song. Except Quincy Jones is in charge and Lionel Ritchie has the soft touch to bring out the best in each performance.
