Utes vs the Colorado Fighting Primes in the season finale

That’s just normal.

QB’s, for the most part, all think they should be “The Man”

JJ is the exception, not the rule.

this is both a testament for Utah’s ability to develop QB’s and damning evidence about how poorly we recruited QB’s

Agree 100%.

I thought Cooper Bateman was out of eligibility after his year here. I could be wrong. Jason Shelley was doing ok at USU until he got thrown off the team and then did ok again at, IIRC, So. Missouri St. but your conclusion is correct, none have lit the world on fire after going.

In the case of Nate, we have a decent history of converting kids recruited as QBs to other positions. From the aspect of possible wideouts, Devonte Christopher immediately comes to mind. It’s not that I’d expect him to move to LB like Chad Manis, but there are always opportunities for the athletes here.

I think he’s blowing it, and that makes me sad for him.

Utah should still win this game, and FWIW, we’re still favored by three touchdowns - the line hasn’t moved much.

Both teams are beat up with injuries and illness, but Utah is soooo much deeper than Colorado.

I hope to get my tired ■■■/feet p to tailgaintg to see you again one more time before season is over Man. What’s on the menu tomorrow?

Peter Costelli as well. Highly touted, went on to back up at Troy and then to FCS University of Northern Colorado.

Some of them have gone on to good things at a lower level, but I don’t think we’ve ever seen someone transfer out of Utah and then light it up (or even shine dimly) at another P5 school.

Maybe, but most of these guys had offer sheets from multiple schools. I don’t think it’s just Utah that missed in evaluating them. .

I am genuinely wondering if we arent seeing intention work on part of players on Utah opponents to subtly damage Utah players and removed them fromplay, since no one can stand up to them if everyone is helathy. The stunning apparent targeting of key star players is just too hard to believe as coincidence [Micah Bernard is another story… dumbazz (said in best Jennifer Coolidge accent)].
I remember while stationed in Naples, Italy watching Diego Maradona play for Napoli, and over 4 years I saw repeated ABSOLUTELY BLATANT targeting of his feet/ankles/legs (rules are far more vicious now, but there was no real protection back then). The clubs knew they couldnt beat him on the field, so they tried to take him off the field. I would not be one bit surprised to find out a secret cabal of U$C boosters had a secret payment plan for players who managed to take Utah players out for multiple games, etc. It’s EXACTLY the sort of thing those vicious whiny losers would do on their way out the door - punish the program that embarassed them repeatedly.

Ah, right about Cooper Bateman. Weird that he transferred from Bama and never took a snap here.

if this turns out to be accurate I will have zero respect for that player. I just can’t with these whiny boys who can’t handle not being the big cheese. Show some gratitude to the program that turned to you and gave you a major chance when things were rough.

Until the UTAH program makes a statement on it, NOTHING is confirmed. “Sources” have been wrong far too often. It does seem highly likely however

If we pull this off, I will be pleasantly surprised. We are down a bunch of players.

And do you think an official statement from the school is likely to happen?

We’ll see when they take the field. Ok, y’all will. Not going to he possible to watch PAC12 Network. Good riddance to that after tomorrow.

Thankfully so are the Buffs, and they weren’t very good to begin with.

I think we can still pull it off, but a lot will depend on the level of motivation (for both teams) to get up for what is ultimately a meaningless game.

Deion already told the OL he’s going to replace them. And not sure if Sheduer plays - injured Q2 last game. But their defense is bad. Hopefully Glover can get 150, Bottari ends up 8 for 11, and defense forces 10 3 and outs with 15 sacks.

Whoever comes out of the tunnel and plays, god bless them and I hope they have a great game. I hope we send our seniors off with another win.

And let’s be honest, finishing with an 8-4 record with this many injuries and this tough of a schedule would be nothing short of miraculous.

The big thing we’re playing for is the Vegas Bowl.

Utah travels well, especially down I-15. Barnes would be back for the bowl, many others would heal up.

Don’t want to look bad and go to a bowl that’s tougher for Ute nation to get to.

It’s been a crazy year, but Utah’s FB culture is the factor that has got us in a position to be .667 in the regular season.

Could be the Vegas or the Holiday, but yeah. Lose and God only knows what bowl we end up in.
