In general, I don’t hold anyone with a bachelors or masters degree in much of a regard, major/school dependent. Nonetheless, using “alot” as a college graduate, irrespective of school or discipline, is unacceptable to me. Same goes for the usage of “in regards”. Yep, call me an English fudd. Haha

Some things you’ve got to remember is that given the constant evolution of language, back formation, and weird Miss translations from other languages, things like alot and a few other things have become accepted in common ordinary language even if the grammaticians refuse to accept it. That is the thing about evolution of language an English is probably one of the worst

yep…fully aware of the evolution and am willing to “settle” in certain instances. If we use “alot”, then perhaps “alittle” should also be in play. What about “abit”? haha
“In regards” to me is just someone trying to sound intelligent but has not idea of its proper usage.

Hey, I am getting pretty damned tired of people trying to eliminate my favorite language because it doesn’t follow someone’s social construct of “the rules.”

Dictionary deciders have added the figurative definition that is the most used now a days in speech. So, technically it is not wrong anymore.

I don’t understand why you are having this issue. I installed the Utah 360 app last year. Setup my account. Used it successfully last year. This year as soon as my tickets hit my account in Utah 360 I downloaded them with one click to my Google wallet. Maybe it’s Apple that is the issue.

I installed the Utah 360 app to access tickets this year. When I tried to log in, it gave me three options:
- Sign in with my Student ID credentials (don’t have, not a student)
- Sign in using my Gmail address
- Sign in using my Apple ID
None of those are the email I use that is attached to my tickets account but are the only options it gave me. I had to go to the website, which does give you the option to log in using another email address, and was able access them there.
So yeah, count me firmly in the “not impressed with the app” camp.

Like you, last year, I installed and set up the Uath 360 App. I used it with only one minor issues last year.
This year, there was something wrong with my Utah 360 account in that I could not log in with my Apple credentials (my Apple credentials have not changed in years). I called the ticket office, eventually spoke with someone who said my account needed to be reset. They did so, after which I re-setup my 350 account, and chose the manage tickets option. That redirected me to the website, https://utahutes.evenue.net/, which required a second authentication. This authentication failed using the credentials I setup and carefully recorded last year. After I reset the password (and carefully recorded it (in my usual encrypted manner), I was back to where I had been last year. I then downloaded the tickets for yesterday’s game, and have so far had no further issues with credentials for either.
I have no idea why both of my previously functioning set of credentials failed initially, but I assure you it was not pilot error. If anyone notices from my description that I am using the application incorrectly, or doing something else wrong, I would appreciate the feedback.
Later, after reading about the “ALL IN” option for transferring tickets, and all of the related information about how it works, I chose that option.
Sometime, following last nights game, the “ALL IN” option caused the tickets from yesterday’s game to be deleted from my Apple wallet, and then automatically downloaded the tickets for next week’s game to my Apple wallet. On the face of it, without thinking about all the possible exception processing and use cases, this might seem like an improvement. No need to do anything the rest of the season, right?
My friend, who loves the Utes, but does not buy tickets accompanied me to last night’s game. After the win was final, the announcer noted that everyone in attendance was entitled to a free haircut, and referred people to the Utah 360 App. My friend was interested, but could not figure out anything about the App. I told him I’d look into it in the morning and let him know what he would have to do.
The Foothill Village Great Clips told me that you could have a free haircut by bringing in “either your physical or digital ticket”. I have neither, and have no option to see or download the ticket.
I called the ticket office, they verified that all of the information above was correct, and that I had no option for my friend to get the free haircut. I suggested that she let the appropriate people know that at least some, perhaps most (depending upon the popularity of the “ALL IN” option) of the people who might consider the free haircut option will find they cannot obtain it and that some other options should be considered.
She think she thought I was trying to be a smart ■■■.
Since I’m never going to opt for a free haircut, and will probably not sell any of my tickets, I suspect I’ll have no further problems this year.

Took the kids to Lagoon yesterday. It was a really good day and wasn’t crazy busy, so we got to ride at least a dozen different rides, some of them multiple times (the new Nutcracker is awesome).
Woke up this morning feeling like I’d been in a damn car crash. I can barely move my back or my neck. Everything hurts.
Guess I’ll need to add roller coaster to my list of “things that you have to severely moderate as you get old”
