He must not have been a DEI hire.
Customer non-service organizations that, rather than having you wait on hold for 30+ minutes, commit to calling you back when a representative becomes available, and then calls you back and puts you on hold for 10 minutes until a representative becomes available.
Remember, folks, no politics in the champagne room.
Hey, someone pass me the bottle of Dom.
I will steadfastly contend that the day David Bowie died (Jan 10, 2016) is the exact date that things started to go racing downhill for modern society. Ziggy Stardust was the thin thread holding this world together, and when he left for his home planet…we were doomed.
You can’t convince me otherwise.
Genius knows genius. Mick Ronson delivers one of the greatest opening riffs in R&R. Also, Five Years on Hunky Dory is particularly prescient and appropos
“Five Years” is the opening track on The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars album, not Hunky Dory.
Also, Hunky Dory is the best Bowie album. Full stop. Partly because it’s brilliant from front to back, but mostly because it contains my absolute favorite song of all time, “Life On Mars?”.
I could not agree more. I was 12 when it came out. Seminal album.
“Ibid your honor…”
Couldnt find a life performance of LoM but I always loved this song and his piano chops and musicanship are smooth as silk.
This one has always been my favorite. Just Bowie and an absolutely sublime performance from Mike Garson on piano. It’s later in his career so he sings it with that hint of melancholy and life experience that only he can bring.
Not gonna lie, it makes my room a little dusty.
Well, this post sure got ignored.
Because someone drank all the champagne.
Yeah, all we have is Martinelli’s left.
that reminds me, whatever happened to “Cold Duck”? I havent heard about it in decades.
Shutter! I don’t think I’ve that swill since we used to camp out on the sidewalk outside the Salt Palace to buy concert tickets. It’s the grape Nehi of wines.
It’s MD20/20 or Boones Farm for me. Nothing but the best!
Pretty sure I’ll have a hangover tomorrow just from typing that…
What’s the word…Thunderbird!!!
I remember going bowling late one night with my friends back in the mid 70’s. We were having a few beers while bowling and their were these girls on the next lane drinking Annie Green Springs. They scoffed at us and told us we were drinking Kool aid. We just laughed.
Classic! Back when the Top knew how to rock!!!
