Haven’t been there in ages. Last time it wasn’t as good as remembered. Maybe I need to order something new.

Ive always been partial to Fandango as an historic “Party Album” that and Little Feat’s Waiting For Columbus. Prolly because they were perpetuosly on at parties from juunior high through HS

Thread is getting rather political (and I have been part of it) and we are a very diverse fanbase with different political and religious beliefs but are united in being loyal Utah fans.

Really should keep this thread to things that are annoying (poorly timed traffic lights for example) and leave politics in the categories for those that choose to go there.

I agree and will pay more attention, but what about people who hate the Fandango album?

Send them to Slowjamastan.

What’s up with the US Postal Service? I had two Christmas cards returned as undeliverable (one to Ohio and one to Alpine, UT) that were properly addressed, and now one to Bountiful to the memory care my mother was in containing the last payment to them with Return to Sender written on it. All three were legible and correct in their addresses.

It’s like they don’t care any more.

Wonder what could account for that.

No doubt in my mind it’s the Louis DeJoy Effect.

Language Purists - people who get irritated and sometimes are compelled to let others - often immigrants - know this is the land of English (but not British English, and absolutely, absolutely not English spoken with an Indian accent.).

Can sometimes manifest with insults, like “you don’t know English, you’re dumb and shouldn’t even be here”. (Insults typically less prevalent toward medical professionals who may be instrumental in saving lives of themselves or loved ones.)

Thought to be a form of social control or social ladder dominance, language purists will reveal psychological and sometimes physiological distress within proximity of French Canadians, who can speak English but can sometimes prefer to exhibit their own form of assertive language purity.

See also, social wars, busybodies and control freaks.

As much of a mutt language Americanized English is, nobody should think there’s any purity to it.
