I’m all about rap diss tracks against city government. This is hilarious and well made.

You’re probably old enough to remember these guys (and maybe the backstory driving the plot.)

The Vision Bleak plays a really fantastic blend of gothic doom and melodic death metal. They dropped a new album last week that has taken over my playlist. Closest comparison I can think of would be a more aggressive and less bleak My Dying Bride (who, coincidentally, also released an album today). Think Bauhaus meets Insomnium and you’re about there.

It’s tough to pick out just one track, as the album is one continual song that has a few (seemingly random) break points to separate different tracks. If you have a spare 40 minutes, a dark room, and a good pair of headphones, I would highly recommend letting this album wash over you.

I saw Chuck open for the Grateful Dead a number of times.

Fantastic musician. Atrocious human being though.
This is an interesting and entertaining documentary where I learned, yet again, to appreciate and respect Keif.

Just announced, Neil Young is coming to Usana, or whatever the hell it’s called now. Love Neil.

I went to Austin a few weeks ago for the eclipse. It was cloudy so the eclipse was kind of a dud but I was able to catch Bob Dylan at Austin City Limits, which was amazing.
