I was just too young to be able to get the Keith Moon experience. The 1980 concert was the replacement, Faces’ old drummer, Kenny Jones.

Has anyone besides me seen Bob Dylan or Willie Nelson in concert? How about Joe Cannon?

When I first heard Cypress Hill’s Insane in the Brain or I Ain’t Goin Out Like That my thought was that this genre of music has now reached the absurd, then, eventually, the damn songs grew on me. I read that House of Pain’s Jump Around was originally offered to Cypress Hill but they were unable to furnish lyrics.

This album is about to drop and it’s produced by Shooter Jennings. It’s going to be amazing for those Outlaw country fans:

Vincent does a bunch of songs around his Native American roots on this one. He teased the video on Instagram:

I liked it. Gonna add him to my Outlaw station.

You should go back and try to come up with a dollar value on what you spent on tickets. Unless you were a roadie?

Some of you Utah locals are no doubt familiar with this group. I first heard a snippet of this song (… “you can’t smoke weed, I’m living in Utah …”) when I was buzzing by on the cat track near the Collins lift mid station, slamming on the brakes the attendant informed me of the name, Utah Maid, by Pixie and the Partygrass Boys. That night at Alta’s Goldminer’s Daughter lodge where I was staying I unfortunately learned they played at the P Dog (Peruvian) the night before. They have other songs of a mountain/ski theme.

My wife might literally murder me if I did that.

Looking back at my list and utilizing my fading memory, I bet I only spent about $200 on those concerts.

Unfortunately I’ve spent enough money alpine skiing the last several decades to buy several new cars. I saved a decent amount of money by getting on the ski patrol when I lived in Utah whereby my pay was that my wife and kids skied free.

Wow! There are some impressive lists of concerts attended on this thread. I’m a list maker, and like to track a lot of things, but have never gone through this exercise.

I suspect the reason is a sentiment Paul Simon expressed in the Kodachrome lyrics: substitute his “all the girls I knew when I was single”, with something like “all the bands I’ve heard live in my lifetime”, and you’ll know where I’m coming from.

Just remembered a couple I missed.

Kiss (at the Terrace Ballroom, before they were known by every 11 year old kid in the country)
Bachman Turner Overdrive

I don’t have many…Kenny Loggins at Red Butte and James Taylor at the Delta Center.

What I usually see is garage bands in the park during the summer. It’s free and it’s easy to walk to and from.

I know this has been posted before, probably by me, but it’s one of the funniest bits film ever… (I was reminded of this yesterday by an NPR program interviewing the author of a new book called “Swingtime for Hitler”.)

Laugh so hard I cry whenever I watch it.

Hmm. I wasn’t interested in KISS (blame my ■■■■■■■ foster brother who loved them and was a huge bully), but remember BTO for a fe songs and one of the coolest band names ever. I also saw Ambrosia and Captain &Tennille (rip Daryl Dragon - his real name)

On my list of concerts attended, Kiss was by far the worst. Sorry, not sorry.

Perhaps the best concert I saw was Black Oak Arkansas, JoJo Gunne, and Focus all on the same show. The Who and Johnny Winter were right up there as well.

Can’t really say who was the worst.
