Do BYU fans know they aren’t in this game? So many of them at Disneyland.
that was from Woody Hayes.
Ahh, the Christmas Break roadies to Disneyland.
When you’re team isn’t playing in a NY6 game, you have the time and money for the trip.
Nevermind my parents never had that kind of time and money for such a thing…at that time of the year…even staying at Grandmas House in San Berdu…
My team isn’t in a NY6 so I am here.
I see what you did there.
TDS has morphed into TSPP.
Can Whit just make the whole team live in a bubble until they get on the plane? I’m getting worried with the NHL pausing games, NBA and NFL rescheduling things, and now the first bowl casualty of 2021.
Remember, I took one for the team and am not going to the Rose Bowl. Therefore, it will go off without a hitch. If I was going, I would advise everyone to cancel all of their plans.
I’m not going to the Rose Bowl, either. The last time I went on a road trip for football, it was 100 degrees with the sun already set, we lost several players to targeting penalties that weren’t targeting, it cost me over $400 dollars for Native American crafts and jewelry, and the trip home included a snowed up mountain pass outside of Panguitch.
We won the game…but.
Heard they might be considering 5-7 Cal for the Gator Bowl. If they are going with 5-7 teams, why not make pull in 5-7 Texas just to infuriate TAMU more.
Really hoping these spikes are focused in the South (lower vaccination rates). Some Alabama coaches also just tested positive… But if it’s on Ohio St. campus (MBB), eek. Bubble needed. Or if Ohio St. really doesn’t want to be in the Rose, I guess they could use this as an excuse.
So as one who is not only braving going to the Rose Bowl, I did buy trip insurance, but will be sitting in the Ohio State allocation of tickets, are there others here who did that and where are your seats? We’re in 16-L, Row 54. That doesn’t make sense to me when I look at the stadium map because I can’t figure out how Row 54 could be in 16-L and not 16-U, but that’s what the tickets say. Who else will be in enemy territory with us?
The rose bowl rows go reverse alphabet rows at the bottom in most sections (some start at M and go to A, some only have B-A, ETC) then the numbered rows after that. So your seats are 54 rows above the lettered rows in that section (77 is the top). The section numbers are 16-L (Lo) and 16-H (Hi) but they aren’t upper and lower, they are next to each other. Going counter clockwise it goes 1 lo, 1 hi, 2 lo, 2 hi, etc…
I got mine through the CC, we’re in 2-L row 52, so basically directly across from you
What levelCC were you that got those? I bought from OSU just because I wasn’t sure they’d get to me in Level 4.
90% of Alabama players have booster shots. This map is not good for the Southwest either. The Deep South had their spike in early season.
Yet we are talking about 2 Bama coaches testing positive. But being that highly boosted is good. TAMU was reported ~85% vaccinated (2 dose) a few weeks before the season. No word on boost, so either they really had no protocols in place, just got unlucky with an outbreak of Delta, or Omicron took hold. I am surprised Michigan are going to get the booster as a team - why haven’t they received it already? No idea if Cinci or UGA are doing similar, but every team should be doing all they can to educate and put in place protections to isolate any cases or better yet, prevent them.
Yes, Delta spike. SE could see another Omicron one in short order (any area with lower vaccination rates are going to see a quicker increase - just a matter of when). And with TAMU and Alabama already directly affected, hopefully it gets contained otherwise so the games can happen. So far, looks like Omicron is working NE out, but easy for embers to plant all over. Unfortunately, variant doesn’t matter - positive is positive and leads to quarantine procedures whether the symptoms are mild or severe or vaccinated or not.
My uncle grabbed them for me, he’s a level 5. I’m level 4 and didn’t want to risk it. It seems like the most CC accounts are around level 5 and that price range went quick.
Vaccination only helps ease symptoms. It doesn’t mean you won’t test positive. This is all a mess because you can be vaccinated and asymptotic and lose players. We really aren’t being serious how society should move forward.
Also, losing our OC and OLine coach now but they will be back for game
Vaccination helps protect contracting it as well (unvaccinated are 5x greater risk right now compared to fully vaccinated - see ‘Rates for Caccinated and Unvaccinated’ in the link, but this is all a discussion for the covid thread), but yes, as I said, positive is positive whether you have any symptoms or not. I agree - at this point, let the vaccinated players play. If they had the flu (perhaps with worse symptoms), they are free to play if they are feeling up to it.
I’m actually more worried about Ohio St. players testing positive and not having enough players. everything is ok. I’d rather have a good game at full strength (well, opt outs included -any word on the OSU WRs practicing or not?). I hope Ohio St. knows what’s coming and we just keep doing it, ala Michigan or us against Oregon twice.
