Damn this Covid is spreading like crazy, it’s even infected the Rose Bowl Thread.
I saw a great electronic billboard on I 15 today. It was a University of Utah billboard, with the block U prominently displayed in the upper left corner. It said the following:
Genus:
rosa bowlium
(We also love research.)
I smiled for the rest of the trip.
Imagine if the Rose Bowl turned into 10-3 Utah vs 5-7 Illinois. That’s WF v Rutgers (edit: mixed reports that they are the opponent and that they javelin declined) in the Gator. Hope both teams stay healthy.
Ohio State was already a replacement team for Michigan, Illinois would be the replacement’s replacement.
THat YOgi Roth is soooo dreamy. I think it’s that hair flip hahahaha
I wonder how many tickets have been purchased outside of the University’s allotment?
According to a new study based in South Africa, omicron while being the new dominant strain, causes 70 to 80 percent less hospitalization. Which overall is better especially if one is vaccinated.
In regards to the game, and for those going. It’s not panic time yet. Hopefully it can go on. Interesting times we are in. Stay safe all.
I did see a couple instances this season where a player had a mask on under their helmet. Wouldn’t help in this situation though:
I think it’s hilarious - puked which made him move (false start) getting a few defenders to jump.
Here’s to a healthy Rose Bowl. Puking optional.
In weather news LA is getting Rain. Looks like Game Day will be cold and clear.
Rain makes it to the inland empire. The drought has really screwed up the aquifers there.
Hey BamaFanNKY, is there a shady side of the stadium during the game in the afternoon? If so, and I am on the shady side, the temperature reading may be deceiving as to actual comfort.
The shady side is the Ohio State side.
Appropriate…tOSU is pretty shady.
Local Utah fans enjoyed fairly good weather at home this season (aside from the thunderstorm during the Weber State game where we all bunkered down under the stands and stayed dry during the lightning delay). But we’ve sat through a lot of cold wet weather over the years. Sure those of us in Pasadena can handle whatever the weather has in store for us.
Sun sets in the west. If you are by the press box you are out of the sun. At least my experience but that is going off my 2019 Rose Bowl Memory. I sat low and endzone last time (not a fan).
Thanks. That is where I am. Dress a little warmer.
Well, I already figured out that the sun sets in the west I just didn’t know what side was west and whether there were structures that would cast shade. Your picture really helps. Indeed, looks like I will be in shade.
Hey, I live in the southeast. You can never be sure everyone knows that type of thing. LOL
