Don’t get me started.
Just put up a wall.
For those of you “richies” as my late mother-in-law used to call them, what’s the take on where the U is selling their ticket allocation so far? What price level are they in? I’m just curious about how my $270 each tickets I snagged from the OSU allocation will be holding up by the time my turn through the U comes up Saturday.
I bought tickets in Section 3L, Row 5 for $285 each.
Section 5, Row 47. $350 each. They are going for a lot more online.
For what it is worth, and this is what I told my family, many friends of mine–who have attended this game as starving students and later in life as adults with more spending power–say that wherever they sat, it was a fun game and a terrific experience.
How long should I plan to be in traffic to get to the Brookside golf course if I leave West Covina at around 8am?
I could be wrong this year but the great part of Christmas and New Years around LA is the traffic seems to be half what it is normally. New Years day is not bad at all. I’d still leave about 20-30min prior but make sure you Dodge the parade on the way in.
It’s VERY slow moving once you approach Brookside - like a snails pace. Leaving from West Covina to your parking spot will be two hours minimum. I would leave by 7:00 AM if you want time to enjoy your tailgate and soak-in the atmosphere.
FTFO!
That’s very true. As a student and “adult” I’ve sat all over that place for Rose Bowls. Even the end zones are ok. Just don’t sit too low in any section as that’s the only thing that could mess you up.
FTFO!
LOL. I guess this is the benefit of the Parade. I usually leave the Hills and roll in around 5:30am.
Two days.
Still can’t believe the Utes are going to the Rose bowl. I must be dreaming. Pinch me. Go Utes!
What would be the best airport to fly into? I am staying at the E-Central hotel downtown.
I need to start a NoInterlockingU web site.
You’re probably like the Catholics I know who only go to Latin Mass.
Whichever you can still get into.
Assuming you mean downtown Los Angeles either LAX or Burbank Airport. Use your best situational awareness skills when walking around the area of your hotel especially at night.
FTFO!
No, there is a hotel called E-Central by Staples Center. Yeah, he wants LAX and yes, keep your head on a swivel.
I stay downtown when I go, and Burbank is the easiest airport by far, and the closest to downtown. These days I stay inside at night when I’m in that part of L.A., unless I’m walking between my office and the place I’m staying. When you’re in Pasadena around the team hotel you’ll see it’s much different.
The team hotel is the Marriott at LA Live, I think.
