Bottari has been one of the QBs with a headset, so he knows the offense. He’s undersized but strong, has a strong arm. I was impressed how he did in the spring game.
It will be interesting to see what Lud comes up with.

I’ve heard that as well, but I don’t have any specific knowledge.
I believe he’s been the emergency QB for some of our games when it was just Barnes and Johnson.
Cam isn’t even the first Utah player to play seven years. Marty Johnson played at Boise St. from '98 to 2000 and then at Utah from 2001 to 2004. A series of injuries and legal issues granted him extra years of eligibility.
Then there was Brandon Dart, father of Ole Miss and former USC QB Jaxson Dart. He arrived at Utah in 1994 and was here til 2000. He had several injuries and was granted a few waivers.

Levani Damuni coming back. It was a huge get when he came from Stanford, it’s a big get to have him for another year.

I really like Medlock’s quickness and potential, but when Sione Fotu started getting snaps I think it signaled #6 was probably going portal.

While I’m very excited for next year’s potential, I’m a little nervous about 2025 with all these dudes bailing. The portal giveth and the portal taketh away, I suppose.
I’m guessing the coaches will find a few LBs in the portal.

I believe they can. Didn’t one or two last year do just that? I guess it would depend on coaches and the relationship impact of that decision

I think Micah Bernard did just that after the 2023 Rose Bowl.

I believe that you are correct, but once Tavion Thomas was gone Micah returned to Utah.
It happened with at least one other player, but I can’t recall who off the top of my head.

IIRC, Dixon was in the portal for several months before he came back.
It’s a case by case basis.
Some are allowed to return. Others aren’t.

I remember Kyle saying that Dixon entered the portal because of some personal issues that he was dealing with. Luke the Ferrari Bottari also went into the portal and returned.
