Mick Cronin has squeezed every drop out of this UCLA team. I’m very impressed with their team. Even if the Zags get them I think this team has done a great job.

I loved having 2 elite 8 games on Monday night. It was something to look forward to after a long workday. Tuesday not so much. Monday night is ideal for sports on TV

If we were to pick 4 day spans for 2 rounds split over 2 consecutive days, I think the Fri-Mon is the best (like they did for 1st/2nd round). But for the 1st/2nd round, with 16 games each day, it is nice to do those on Thu/Fri and just take some time off or WFH. Maybe do Thu-Sun for 1st/2nd rounds, Fri-Mon for Sweet 16 (4 games Fri/Sat in aft/evening quadruple header) and Elite 8 (2 games Sun/Mon evening), and Sat for Final 4 and Mon for Championship as they already do.

I know Bill Walton drives half the population nuts, but he drives Cougar Nation even more crazy with the incessant “Conference of Champions” talk.
I wish I was in Bill’s circle of friends, because I’d nudge him to open an account on CB - “the real Bill Walton” or whatever - and just drive them all completely berserk.

I think the reaction among Cougs if Walton trolled them would range from a short term gratitude they’re being noticed by a celebrity who would take the time to even show up… to full psychiatric detachment, foaming at the mouth.
But at the end of the day… they’d all remember and be forced to fully absorb that Utah is in the PAC 12… and they’re not.

Walton doesn’t bother me at all. When he’s not using hyperboles and making fun of Dave P, his basketball comments are on-point to me.

Completely agree. Just awful. I’ve never seen the official University social media comment about a fan’s death till his. Even Avery Johnson the former hoops coach has spoken out about his death. I didn’t know him personally but he is what you hope with student engagement with athletics. Very passionate and made sure to make a program that is often overlooked feel seen.
