In retrospect they were right as far as off-topic. That’s fine. Maybe it should have become another thread or an expanded part of the thread of USU’s latest fiasco. You guys are doing a great job, and it’s often thankless.
Yeah, we went off into the bleachers and took a massive detour. I definitely played a part in that. Figured if my piling on got deleted, so be it. Moderating these boards is a thankless job. That said, I do appreciate you doing it.
To the recruiting…did anyone else notice the DB/Safeties are all Ronnie Lott sized? If they have the speed and the tools, we could be even scarier good on pass defense over the next several years.
I normally like to read or at least see all the posts in a thread. There are few threads that don’t occasionally go off topic…and if the off topic posts aren’t worthy of discussion the thread goes back on topic. It’s just a PIA when someone hides a bunch of posts and you have to do an extra click to read them. If you’re like me, I am definitely going to look at a flagged post to see what someone is trying to hide from me.
The class of '22, twenty-two, Utah football recruits is an impressive haul by KW and the Ute coaching staff. Assuming the Utes secure Justius Lowe and Sidney Mbanasor, what an exciting group of athletes. When those two sign, the number of recruits for this class will be 22.
We are now officially on topic.
I’m sorry Rocker, you guys have made a great effort to improve this message board and I thought I was helping along those lines. I was trying to make up for my past violations by lending a hand. I’m not sorry for who I am, never will be, but I respect this message board and honestly just wanted to pitch in. I will message you next time, or better yet, I’ll refrain from being a busy body.
I take a small exception to lumping turntables in with fax machines. Every audiophile knows that vinyl provides a richness to the sound that digital just cannot replicate. That’s why recordings are all mastered in analog even when the final product is digital. ![]()
And why I own 7,000 vinyl record albums.
Most of these recruits likely don’t even know what vinyl records are!

I keep clicking on this thread thinking there’s more Class 22 recruiting info. Well, stupid me. LOL
Any word on how many of the new guys will be enrolling early for Spring Ball?
I thought Whit said in his presser on signing day that at least 9 would be registered in January and doing spring work.
If you really own 7000 vinyl recordings (and I’m not questioning it) I would love to see them sometime. I have less than 2000, perhaps less that 1500 (I haven’t looked at the catalog for decades) that represent a young lifetime of collecting that started in the mid 60’s and stopped sometime in the 80’s, most of which have been carefully stored for more years that I can recall.
As I retire, I’m building a set of custom shelves in a small room in my basement to house the audio equipment and media that went into storage decades ago, and which I cannot wait to be able to play again.
Most of them are not pristine enough to have justified that storage expense, but I do have a lot of late vinyl era top quality classical and jazz recordings that will probably sound SPECTACULAR if all of the equipment still works.
To end on a final note of irony, which I’m sure a few of my favorite posters here will l appreciate, I’m starting to wonder at 65 years old, how long before I need hearing aids to use any of this? ![]()
With Costelli gone, what happens to Makai Cope, is he still around? If I remember, he came to Utah to play with Costelli.
Also, as a side note, I saw something in an article the other day that Michael Penix, Jr. entered the portal and will transfer to Washington. Maybe Tuttle will get to play finally?
Pennix was injured after about 4 games and out for the year. Tuttle finished that game, then started against tOSU, was injured on the first drive and out for the year. A true heralded freshman started most of the rest of the year. Did well early, but struggled late and a walk on third year started against Purdue the last game. The freshman is probably the future but could be wide open. Sounds like Pennix transferred because of the freshman.
Makai Cope still around should be in the mix next year assuming he stays.
Mr. concerned:
Thanks for the information.
You will soon have board mail. ![]()
Stanford long-snapper has transferred to Utah. Grad-transfer, one year of remaining eligibility.
How the Utes stack up within the conference, with national position class grades for all Pac-12 schools, and a comment or two about the best recruits.
He’s actually got two years left.
