maybe this will help
this is one as well
One correction, only BYU police were doing that. Provo Police did not provide information, rather a BYU Lieutenant was accessing Provo’s reports to provide that information.
Given the rash of recent laws being passed in Red States, we’ll likely get more vigilantism then and on a near national scale. That is what this example is, someone making another persons business their business, when its not their business at all. But they use a moral excuse to get involved. I used to think conservatives hated that. But no. Originalist and texturalists will claim and work overtime to prove that the US Constitution does not protect the right to privacy. And therefore justify this dog-eat-dog mentality. To me, this notion, this trend, is just insane.

Can anyone tell me why a bunch of posts are showing up in this thread with the message “view ignored content”? I haven’t ignored any posts or posters…odd.
Can someone tell me why this thread on football recruits has a bunch of unrelated crap?
So I guess you’re telling me that someone went through and flagged a bunch of posts in this thread because they were off topic and that is why they show up that way?
One of mine was considered off topic. Flagged. But it was also a bit charged and political. I appreciate why it was flagged. Freedom of speech is fine if it’s in the right place. But in all of the years, like a lot, on UF.N it’s my first flagging. I’ve lost my virginity so to speak. Need a morning after pill now.
So you are saying the flagging was consensual?
It was not but in hindsight (don’t take that word the wrong way, okay) I get it, I was being snarky.
I helped make it go off topic. My bad. I do find it ironic, though, that you can read some of that off topic content in an Admin’s response to it that’s still here. Whatever. Their site, their rules.
It does seem like there are posts discussing two completely different and unrelated topics going on here, unless the word FAX has some new alternate meaning of which I am unaware - in which case that would explain why my post regarding faxes was flagged.
I don’t mind topic detour/distractions/tangents. But I saw this topic had quite a few unread messages, and I saved it for after work when I could really dive into the recruiting posts. Not that I’m upset, just a little disappointed. Hat’s off to Ute-in-Texas for his updates.
(mental note- Twitter is the best source for free recruiting news).
Summary: 20 signees. One, Dallas Vakalahi, is mission bound. There are two commits who have not signed yet: Justius Lowe and Sidney Mbanasor. In his press conference (below) Whit explained one will sign shortly, but wants to have a signing ceremony first. He didn’t give a name. The other can’t sign until he clears compliance and admissions.
Here’s the official summary:
And here is Whit’s presser about the signees. Worth a listen.
In retrospect, my post was completely off topic; I understand why it was flagged.
no biggie we’ve all done it
All it takes is one person to flag a post?
