I have never been able to understand how a team could suck that much. The Tommy Lasorda rule should make it impossible. For those who may wonder, according to Tommy a team…

Has 60 games the will win.
They will lose 60 games.
It’s how they do in the last 42 games that will determine if they make the playoffs.

This is any given MLB team. For the White Sox to suck as much as much as they are sucking right now, they have simply checked out. Whatever “talent” they have should be on the trade block or get waived. If I were the GM we would’ve moved their AA and AAA players up and got them time in the show. God knows they couldn’t be worse than what they are putting on the field now.

I don’t think it came from Lasorda. Officially, the adage is that every team will win 54 games and lose 54 games. It’s those other 54 games that decide if a team gets into the playoffs.

I think if he gets to 50 SBs, shut down the base stealing, then if he gets to 50 HRs, spool that down, too.

If it’s 51-52, that doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.

Gotta be 50-50… for T-shirt and marketing reasons, alone.

I’m sure he is amazing, but as a Padres fan I cannot throw any positive energy towards the Dodgers.
