Kind of late to recruit them when they are college Freshman since it’s illegal. Or are you saying recruit them as HS Frosh? Mark Sears was buried at Hargrave Military Academy Va and only had UAB, USA and Ohio as an offer.
Alabama didn’t offer then because they had two NBA guards already in that class.
I think recruiting is going to look weird for the 2020-2022 classes.
Yeah, there are a ton of talented kids that get missed. One of the greatest SEC three point shooters only got one SEC offer in hoops but three in football. He was more of a hooper and so many people ignored his hoops tape. His cousin however was multiple offers 2 year later. Just shows how dudes on the same team can get overlooked.
The Buffalo Wild Wings in downtown Portland, OR has closed.
It always seems like BWW isn’t a functioning business, all of the space they inhabit with often less than 10 people inside. They feel like a front. The company acts a bit like Scientology, buying buildings to set up their orgs with all the promotional displays, etc. without a concern for whether or not people will come.
Like most garbage our culture produces, Buffalo Wild Wings feels plastic, a place for dudes who refer to themselves as ‘your boy’ who love Vegas, talking about GOATs, and unwrapping sports cards in a live stream.
That said,
Reasons I enjoyed going there.
Seeing the American worker in action. I especially enjoy the managers. One of my favorite experiences is asking for a game that they hadn’t planned for, their journey into the tech closet.
Waving off the upgrade to schooner size during happy hour.
Interacting with dudes who refer to themselves as ‘your boy’ who love Vegas, talking about GOATs, and unwrapping sports cards in a live stream.
A guy from Salt Lake who worked there for nearly 15 years who pretended he knew about Ute sports.
This is a Buffalo Wild Wings in a suburb of Buffalo.
The last time I went (and will remain the last time), they had a sign at the hostess desk saying please wait to be seated…and no hostess. All the people in front of us finally gave up and left. We decided to go to the bar area and sit. We sat there for about 20 minutes and nobody decided to even acknowledge that we were there, even though a few waiters walked right past us. After that 20 minutes we got up and left. This was the second time I had been there. Don’t know why I went back, because the first time the wings weren’t good and it was so loud you couldn’t even have a conversation.
I think they have the music so loud to avoid customers realizing that they are the only 4 people in a place the size of a standard high school gymnasium.
Suck is in the taste buds of the beholder. Personally, I think Market Street sucks, but that’s probably just me. The first time I went there was because my neighbors said they had the “best clam chowder ever”. It was by far the worst clam chowder I’ve ever had. Like I said, suck is in the taste buds of the beholder.
