It was in my time. What a process, and that was a corrective action over the way they were doing it at the building that resulted in some injuries.
This is in response to the posts about whether or not Majerus would work in todayâs environment. I agree that Majerusâs antics would not be tolerated. No c-word, no ironic jabs at playersâ disabilities, no scatological punishments, no belittlement of players at all would be tolerated at all today. Yes, that is progress! Iâm old enough to remember when a football game would experience a catastrophic, life-threatening injury to a player and the game would go on.
But I do think that given Utahâs recruiting challenges, what it does need is the Majerus- (and Pimm-) type system that Smith has brought. Specifically, defense first, motion offense, a disciplined halfcourt game on both sides.
It will be interesting to see what happens once school starts again on Monday. Campus has been a ghost town since the end of the semester.
Well many thousands of students out on break managed to get to the Rose Bowl. You would think a few could get to the Huntsman.
You act like itâs a commuter school or something ![]()
Oregon got blown out in Boulder, the lowest point total for a Dana Altman team (41 points), what could possibly go wrong on Saturday? (shudders)
CU is pretty good, but thatâs just the 1st of Oregonâs 2 high altitude games.
I knew Oregon has a high winning % against the Utes, but didnât realize itâs 19-1 in P12. Wow
Pretty sure Utah has two wins over the Ducks in conference play. One was at home in the third year in the PAC 12. The other was a road win in December 2017, 62-52.
Utah by 5, per Vegas.
I canât make the Oregon game tonight. Does anyone want my tickets? Good seats. BM me if interested.
Thanks LAUte, Iâd take them but the wife is down and out today with illness ![]()
I am interested in them. How many are available?
Two are left. I just need your email address to send them to you. (You have to tell me that you are anUtah fan too.)
Hopeful the fan turnout will be decent today. We need all the support against the Ducks.
Iâll be there today, even though I donât have season tix.
Time to help breathe life into the Hunty, these kids deserve it.
So the rhetorical question of the day is, does WSU thumping UoA make our win against the Wildcats look worse or make our win against the Cougars in Pullman look better? At least thatâs the debate going on here at my daughterâs house as we prepare to watch the Oregon @ Utah game.
The red Cougars also beat USC. So Iâd go with the latter.
