Yeah, I was initially excited about this. But the more I hear about how it happened, the less I like it.
If this had happened the other way around (Belgium’s best player randomly gets reinstated because their president calls up the FIFA boss), Americans would be furious and the howls of “rigged” would be deafening.
I also think this will give Belgium some pretty significant extra motivation and could potentially be a net negative for the US.
The red card was BS. The suspension of the red card is also BS.
Just another example of accusations being confessions. If it had been Belgium, fearless leader would have the first to have cried “rigged”. And the FIFA boss is definitely a DIC @ss kisser.
On another note…if you looked up the word Aryan (without the negative connotations) there would be a photo of that Haaland guy from Norway.
Haaland’s going to get all the credit, but the Norwegian keeper was easily the man of the match there. Just save after incredible save. Also, Neymar is such an arse.
Really looking forward to England/Mexico tonight. That crowd is going to be nuts.

Is it me, or was the Mexican team full of argumentative poor sports?
The most amazing stat to me was Mexico’s previous record of 70 wins, 12 draws, and 2 losses (now three) at that stadium.
For England to win in a place Mexico hasn’t lost in 13 years and do it down a man for a huge chunk of the game is sheer madness.
Between the English and Norwegian goalkeeper performances today, the former goalie in me was definitely smiling. 
If any of what DIC said he said to FIFA is true, for honor sake the USMNT should be Sunderland’d the hell out of the tournament.
Since no one in that cue has any honor, all I can hope is Belgium bounces us out tonight.
