This World Cup Final is insane.
Understatement of the year. This might be the best game I’ve ever seen.
Retake the Falkland Islands!
Per prior agreement, Macron has to eat at Taco Bell for a year!
It was epic! Funny thing, as the first half ended, the camera panned the crowd. Among a group of Argentina fans was a guy wearing a Utah Jazz jersey. Odd place to see that!
I watch very little soccer, but the final was pretty incredible.
That said, the sports highlight of my weekend was seeing the Jimmy Kimmel Sucks hat… at the Jimmy Kimmel Bowl… worn by none other than Jimmy Kimmel.
He’s no Jimmy Fallon, but well played, Kimmel!
Among the very best final matches I’ve watched if not the best.
I wonder why
PPPPPFFFFFTTTTT…You spend endless hours on the can snorting adderall and posting to the world you hate them and you don’t want them here, then wonder why they won’t come?
Even the Epsilon Semi-Morons cleaning the nuclear tubes who are rocking an epic soma high have this one figured out.
Now I am going to Seattle to pour coffee all over myself and get bitter for a week.![]()
USA looking good with the win over Paraguay.
Last night’s game was probably one of the best showings I have seen from a US men’s team. If the US can continue to play like last night, I think they could go pretty far.
Three people are watching the Cup. That’s a sorry amount.
I haven’t been watching the World Cup, just tracking it on Gamecast.
I’m watching. Japan vs Netherlands was quite entertaining
Cape Verde just had a draw with Spain. Pretty much a win for them.
I enjoyed the Australia vs Türkiye match Saturday evening. Türkiye, the highly skilled time-of-possession, ball-control style team was expected to dominate the game, but the Australian’s combination of exceptional defense and two perfectly executed high speed counter-attacks led to an unexpected win, which reminded me of a lot of similar heartbreaking losses for RSL some years ago when they were coached by Jason Kreis, and played the same style as Türkiye.
After the Japan vs Netherlands game, the Japanese fans picked up trash at the stadium. If you’ve ever been to Japan , it’s not surprising at all !!
I’ve been to Japan, and you are right; there is nothing in their behaviour that should surprise anyone,.
Honestly, I want to cheer for every team. I love all their stories.
Yeah, that’s the beauty of watching the sport without a rooting interest. Everyone playing for both sides, everyone coaching both sides, wants nothing more than to win, and failing winning, each wants to perform at their absolute best even in a loss.
A fan of the game, who is not a fan of either team, will come away pleased with the outcome, as they had the opportunity to watch the competition and none of the pain of a personal loss.
But the fan of a team, has either the elation of a win, or the despair of a loss, and never anything in between.
Or, so it seems.
Messi, who turns 39 next week, with a hat-trick last night. Thought Qatar would be his last World Cup when he lifted the trophy in Qatar in 2022 but he’s back and still can dominate.
