I paid SO MUCH money to see Messi play RSL.
Worth it.

England and Croatia in a good one at the half right now.
I tend to root for the sub Saharan āsh!tholeā countries, becauseā¦
So far:
South Africa - lost
Ivory Coast - won
Cape Verde - draw
Senegal - lost
DR Congo - draw
Ghana - won
Not so bad so farā¦
Iāve been working on Artās and Crafts while watching the matches, but todayās is much too important. Go USA! Although, the Aussies have some hilarious chants, but not appropriate to share on this thread. Really funny.
Goal!!!
USA needs to capitalize quickly on the Aussies
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. nice
A lot of physicality by the Aussies and expecting it to continue through the 2nd. Hoping we donāt lose anyone from injury.
US looking solid, but our back line makes my blood pressure rise every time they start messing around with the ball.
Getting real tired of all the play taking place in our defensive end.
Well, crude but effective second half.
The second half was a knock down and drag out. I thought there might be some red cards on some of those players.
One more in Group play left, then on to the round of 32.
Listening to John Denver after that win was pretty nifty.
Aussies got scrappy in the second half and fortunately we kept our cool and didnāt have any foolish red cards. Hopefully Pulisic can come back soon.
Wonāt need him for the next game, since theyāve already advanced. Hopefully the extra rest will help.
Iām bummed Scotland couldnāt score. Morocco is pretty tough.
Iām rooting for Haiti in the next match.
I feel the same about the Olympics. Every country has a real unique beauty and every person has their own personal story.
The Turkyie/Paraguay game last night was one of the weirdest Iāve ever seen. Paraguay scored in the first 65 seconds, got a man down due to a weird red card (a dude covered his mouth while talking sh*t, which is apparently now a red card-able offense), got completely dominated the entire game, and somehow came away the 1-0 winner. This is the final tally of completed passesā¦and the team with 586 passes lost.
It also means that the US has won the group, which is cool.
I was watching the arrogance/confidence back and forth, and I thought whoa, thereās something going on there. After that, I did note Lalas had been moved to another group of analysts.
To note, Lalas is a huge fan of the current POTUS
Lalas is a douche. Always has been.
NED/SWE was a fun game. The Dutch looked unstoppable, and Sweden kept the pressure on despite the lopsided scoreline.
Sadly, Iām relegated to errands for the rest of the day. Mrs SkinyUte might murder me if I rot in front of TV watching games like I did yesterday. ![]()
