Along with a mute button they should put up thick noise canceling glass between the two and tell Trump it’s a Covid 19 safety measure. Glass thick enough to keep Biden’s mic from picking up Trump’s childish rants.

In light of foreign affairs and desperately needed bi-partisan coalition building, there is a value in seeing how a candidate responds to direct opposition. Neither shined in this measure but Trump was, as expected, far worse.

Didn’t watch the debate. Don’t plan to. “Not our best hour” as a nation.
But there’s a slim silver lining for Biden in how that hideous debacle unfolded: He didn’t get steam-rolled. It wasn’t DJT going to Jr’s college dorm to punch him out, it wasn’t DJT telling our top generals and admirals they’re all losers.
Authoritarians like displays of power like that. That may have been the plan - a full alpha onslaught to establish subliminal dominance / subservience. Biden made sure that didn’t happen.
