I’m not sure that he’s underrated, he’s won three Best Actor Oscars, more than any other male actor, and four BAFTAS. But you’re right, he’s a marvelous actor who has picked a lot of great roles in films by quality directors. I think he announced some years back that he has retired from acting, which is why you don’t see him in films lately. He did come back last year to do a film directed by his son after seven years in “retirement”. Not sure if he’s going to continue making films after that?

if you liked 30 rock , the rise and fall of reggie dinkins on nbc is pretty funny. In it, Daniel Radcliffe as a disgraced documentary filmmaker is very entertaining.
Also St Denis on NBC is very good. David Allen Grier is very good in this one

Felt like every home improvement project I’ve ever done, but with far less trips to Home Depot.
Great movie by the way.

Catching up today on the last few stages of the Tour De France, as I’ve been slammed with project work for a few days…
I was horrified to find that the man in second overall, last time I watched, Jonas Vingegaard, was injured last Sunday, and is out the rest of this year’s race. 
He broke a collar bone, something I’ve done now times in my life (once from a fall cycling, once from a fall XC Skiing, and once from an automobile accident), and I never had the benefit of a surgery to correct it as he did.
Without the surgery, it’s an injury with a long slow painful recovery. I understand that with the surgery, it’s not nearly as painful but still a long/slow recovery.
It’s a hell of a way to leave the event you work all year to participate in.

Saw The Odyssey today. An excellent film that really must be seen on the largest screen possible. The cinematography was spectacular, as was the sound design and the acting. I was skeptical of Matt Damon but he did a truly fantastic job, as did all the actors. Not a weak link to be found, although some of the accents were a little distracting. If nothing else, Nolan knows how to tell a captivating story. 3 hours simply flew by like a blip and I was thoroughly entertained.
Seeing so much human talent come together for something like that makes you realize just how absurdly stupid Elon’s “I’m going to make a better version with AI!” boast truly is.

Did you feel the outrage like I did that some of the mythical characters weren’t white, just like everyone used to be in ancient times? What am I supposed to say to my homeschooled children about this historically inaccuracies they’ll see? I want facts when they are learning about mythology.

If you saw Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Young Sherlock was played by Haysie from the movie. The actor is the nephew of the Fiennes brothers.
