I am one of those weirdos who tries to watch all the movies nominated for the Academy Awards. Right now, under a sheet of ice in Kentucky I decided to watch three gut punches back to back:
As someone who descends from Alabama people, we know it’s filled with some of the worst leadership in American history. Poorly run prisons (poorly is too kind a word) that take from the Education budget are just infuriating. Meanwhile, the state is allowing my religion to be hijacked by the worst people on the planet. 5 stars
Most documentaries are important. This one has me anxious and worried for anyone who works at a clinic. Well done on showing the gravity of their day-to-day lives. 4 stars
The last two are short documentaries. This one is rough in the topic term. School shootings have been a threat at my kid’s school and the Coventary Shooting was just down the road and there have been multiple near me. This isn’t a gun control movie as much as it’s a results of doing absolutely nothing movie. 5 stars
My kids (16 and 12) all wanted to see the SpongeBob movie, for some damn reason. So we took them all today.
Good lord, that was simply awful. And I’m someone who will generally get at least an occasional chuckle out of Mr SquarePants. Mark Hamil chewing the scenery couldn’t even save that turd. Even the kids thought it was turrible.
Mine is fine. Nashville really got the brunt of the storm and they (Tennessee) don’t believe in much government so they have people going a week without power.
My brother lives in Hendersonville, just outside of Nashville. They were without power for about 4 days. Their next door neighbor still doesn’t have power after a week+ because a tree branch fell onto the main line coming into their house.
Btw, the actor who plays Danny is the same actor from 10 years ago. He is also the actor who plays hamlet in hamnet. His real life younger brother plays hamnet
