What I’m watching

IMHO, one of the greatest scenes in film history

So many great scenes in that movie. When Claude Raines throws the Vichy water in the waste basket and Rick tells him this may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, I almost cry.

Saw Wicked Part 2 with the whole fam tonight. My thoughts on it were about the same as Part 1. It’s…fine. I’ve paid more for worse entertainment, but it’s not something that I would be particularly interesting in seeing again.

Our 16-year-old theater kid, on the other hand, thought it was an absolute masterpiece. She’s been raving about it nonstop for the last 90-minutes since we got home. Mrs. Skinypupy liked it quite a bit as well. They’re definitely more the target audience so I’d say in that respect, it was a huge success.

Just saw Rental Family. Really well done in my estimation.

This recently added to Netflix is compelling, incisive and provocative.

This has been pretty damned dense. I’m taking it slow, so I can digest it over time.

I need to see this, I’ve had three or four people (who’s opinions I respect) recommend it.

This is a topic I’m particularly interested in as I’ve recently discovered I had 3 ancestors that fought in the war, and I’m sort of an amateur historian anyway. Ken Burns has done some remarkable projects and this one will probably end up being one of my favorites.

I appreciate that with my KUED membership, I can stream this as I have the time to focus on the details.

Certainly true. I thought I had a decent sense of the topic previously, but I’ve been buried trying to internalize all of the information in this production.

I watched over the weekend the 2nd season of A Man on the Inside on Netflix. If you really want to watch something that the whole family can watch, uplifts them, and gives them a bit of joy, this is it. Easily watched as it is in eight 30 minute episodes. Ted Danson is great.

I agree! Usually we’re good for an hour or so, but will deff stick it out

Just fantastic. One of those people you know would have given the world so much more if they had lived:

One of my buddies at work suggested this and although it’s over 2 hrs long. this is one of the best documentaries/Ethnographies I have seen in some time. There’s language challenges (for those who are challenged) and some other NSFW references but otherwise a truly fun, informative and interesting high-caliber/low-budget movie. Those amongst us whom are photographers, explorers or yes even birders will appreciate the creativity and care infused in this video. I mean 2.3 million views, 5rK likes and not 1 unlike?
They also put out a book which I will make a point to buy.
Love to hear what y’all think
