And to think Utah was ranked 7th and viewed as a playoff contender before the season began. I think 7-5 is very possible this season. I mean, Utah isn’t beating Oregon, and Washington State will be very tough.

Well, when you can bring in 19 experienced and already proven elite players in one off-season, like USC did, that makes a big difference. I’m really pessimistic about the future of this sport.

Is there some part of Ludwig’s mind that wants to throw a bomb on third and one in order to sustain a good drive? We escaped by succeeding on fourth and one, but good grief. Why do that?

And then when you finally get the drive going, you throw another bomb to the end zone into a crowd. It’s picked. We were moving. Why go for broke that way?

Fortunately the roughing penalty saved us, and we now are on the board. Good job, guys! Maybe things can turn around just a little bit now.
