I wear a pendant with a Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer from Norse mythology) and a goat’s head for similar reasons.
I watched a reformed mobster get interviewed by a late 20 yo YT dude who advertised a brand of garish diamond crosses that “really ties your ensemble together” with video snapshots of pouting male models wearing white T-Shirts and jeans. Now, when I was a twenty something year old, I too wore T-shirts and jeans; but I didn’t consider that to be an ensemble, that needed something to “tied together with something”.
I don’t think I pouted either, but, who’s to say…
Fighting for my life to try and stay awake during this Zoom call that feels like nothing but a full hour of corporate buzz-word bingo.
I feel for you. It’s almost painful to sit in on.
Proactive.
Right Size.
Best Practices.
I’ll have to align with my stakeholder teams and circle back with you on a critical path update for that deliverable next week.
Zippering. Isn’t it about time everyone knows how to do this in traffic???
no kidding. everyone getting over and causing more problems, especially through lights. it is not a personal offense to let someone in and if done right, it’s only 1 per person.
Seriously, blending into one lane is not rocket science. But with so many drivers here, it’s Screw You…me me me.
I’ll get my spot now and then not let anyone in and even block lanes to impose my control! Just fill the lanes that are there and easy-peasy 1 for 1. We’ll all get there and see you at the next red light.
Bob: Looks like you’ve been missing a lot of work lately.
Peter: Well, I wouldn’t say I’ve been missing it, Bob.
Before we introduce cars that can do a stupid kickflip, can we teach everyone to merge first?
So agreed.
but what if it kick flipped into that open spot at the zipper point? Or even better - flew, and we have the Jetsons?
Only if we approach that goal by employing a mission-aligned strategy.
Pet peeve. Feeling self congratulatory as you put your pants on while standing unsupported and then catching your little toe on the cuff and dumping yourself on the floor and having to question all your beliefs in self efficacy.
I was taught in kindergarten how to take turns.
You know how sometimes when something is really wrong with a car, every dashboard warning light will simultaneously turn on when you start it?
That’s the equivalent of how my body feels every time I try to get out of bed these days.
Exactly. I never bothered to learn how to zipper because I was led to believe we’d have jetpacks by now.
