I agree with this 1,000%
I can say that I prefer other times of the year over summer. Living where it gets balmy to tropical for weeks at a time only reinforces my dislike of summer.
I like summer more than winter. But spring and fall are my favorites.
I live in the land of summer and hell. I like summer season better than hell season
Depends on where you live. Here in Seattle, summer is amazing and is unequivocally the best time of the year.
I was going to respond the same way! Plus the 12+ hours of daylight.
And plus, to quote Blind Melon, “No rain”.
Two funny things I witnessed lately:
-
On the rear of a yellow taxi I saw a bumper sticker that read, “Please be patient: New driver”. That’s not exactly going to inspire confidence in potential clients. Perhaps it’s time to pursue a new vocation?
-
The wife and I joined a small tour group (about 6 people) in Pioneer Square, Seattle yesterday. The place was abuzz with activity, including about a half dozen other tour groups. The tour was led by one gentleman, who had an assistant working with him whose job was to keep the group together and safe. About a half hour into the tour, we stopped in front of the Pioneer Building where the tour leader started giving his spiel. As we listened, the two of us looked over and noticed that two women AND the tour assistant had apparently decided to join another tour that we had brushed up against while walking. Hilarity ensued.
This made me laugh.
The Jazz managed to mess this one up from day one of last season. Now it’s time to see just how my suck they can vacuum up.
They sucked so much, they blew. Next season will be another vortex of suck…and the next…and the next.
Wash - Rinse - Repeat.
The Jazz’s embarrassment was a win for the integrity of the game.
Clowns and miscreants.
I’ve so done this!
Most of the way through a very big, very intense project involving a vendor who brings a LOT of people to the party.
Stressful, time to take the edge off for everyone. So… PIZZA!!!
Got me thinking - Why don’t standoff negotiators bring pizza? Really?
Cops: “Come out with your hands up! You’re surrounded! Also… we have Pizza.”
(15 seconds of silence)
Bad guys: “What kind of pizza? Do you have donuts, too?”
I read this and went straight to Fluffy’s story about being pulled over by the police with a box of donuts on the front seat.
In light of today’s upcoming NBA Championship Series game…
