That would be rad for fans, but the $$$ will prevent it, I’m afraid. I always like to see someone curb-stomp the grizz.
The contract of the multi year agreement is awaiting signature by the other team.
Well, drive up to Logan and get them to sign it, Harlan . Unless Rice wants us for a multiyear
. Us fans are impatient haha.
TCU does not have games scheduled for Sep 7 or 14, so we could actually play a conference game on that date and open something up during normal conference time if another team has an opening …
They are counting Baylor as a non conference game and rumor is Oregon State will be the 13th game.
12th? No one can play 13 unless they travel to Hawaii. Or make a CCG.
listening to sports radio while exercising today, the hosts speculated that it might be a 2 for 1 with Utah State, with the first game being in Logan???
I hope not. I like 7 home games. Call it “big timing” or whatever, but I want home games, especially in September.
Very much would like to pay a visit to friendly Logan. Great day trip. And going forward with BYU now a conference game, would be nice to have a non-conference instate rival (not counting FCS schools)
Yeah. Utah has five conference road games next year, so, unless they schedule three non-conference home games, they wouldn’t get seven home games
Which is what I’m hoping for. Unless we get a home and home with a big time P5 (like we had with Florida), and the first game is on the road, then I want 7 home games. Just my wishes.
Utah State up in Logan on September 14
Yep its Utah State
Crap…
A road trip to Logan doesn’t suck. Wish we had more home games, though.
any trip to Logan must come with an obligatory don’t speed through Mantua. IYKYK
This means they can keep their disingenuous, “We didn’t raise your ticket prices,” claim in tact. In years with six home games they’ll say, “Season tickets are the same price this year as they were last year,” while overlooking the fact that there is one less home game, so essentially tickets are 14% more per game. Then, they’ll have 7 home games in 2025 and say, “The price per game is the same as last year,” to jack them up another 14%. How many cycles of this have there been now?
About 10 for sure. Maybe more.
That’ll be a fun trip. Been awhile, and know several kids on the team. I love these instate rivalry games.
Pretty sure Utah’s last trip to Logan was the loss in 2012. You could tell from the get-go that it was going to be USU’s night, though Utah did force OT ( and if I re all, there was a bogus offensive PI that pretty much sealed Utah’s loss). It was also the game that knocked out Jordan Wynn for good.
In state rivalries are nice, and it’s clear that the options for this time slot were limited, but in the future one would hope that if the Utes go on the road, they will find opponents in either Texas or California to help with recruiting. Especially California, since we will no longer have conference roadies there.
