We’re supposed to be mid-80s today in the Rocky Mount area. It’s heading east for Bama.
Take millions of pics if you find them. We’ve not seen them in person yet, just photos.
You guys need to understand that I lived in L.A. for half my life until 3 years ago, and I traveled there weekly until the pandemic started. So this is my first full spring in Utah since 1982. You can tell me this is a normal spring all you want. I will not stop whining about it.

Oh we found them. I can’t upload the video but about 4 of them came off the sand dune and were racing for about half mile down the beach.

My parents wait until Memorial Day weekend. That takes care of most of the stragglers except the very occasional June snowstorm.
My wife is tired of me telling her this 4x a year so I’ll tell you instead: the thing I like the most about Utah seasons is that there’s always something to complain about.

More precisely, a Californian who doesn’t like Utah’s April snowflakes. Besides, you live in an area that is paralyzed by one inch of snow. You are in no position to cast stones.
Being from the same region as you our people are paralyzed by one inch of rain.
One inch of rain equals flash flood in slot canyons.
Been there…done that…and it was scary and dangerous as hell.

Actually, it simply takes a rainstorm big enough to make the streets wet to cause Angelenos to lose their minds while driving.

Yeah that’s the correct way to put it.
I just went outside for a few minutes and I can report (for those who have not had a chance yet), that today is one of those perfect Utah spring days. And weather reports indicate that the next couple will be as well.
I’m not certain what it was like early this morning when @LAUte was dog walking, but, everyone, if/when you can, get out and enjoy this beautiful day.
I’m hoping to wrap things up early enough to head out on the bike toward the top of Big Mountain late this afternoon.

Heading to Hawaii in a couple weeks. Won’t miss the cold/warm/cold/warm spring weather.

It was indeed a simpler time.
I decided recently to put Hawaii on my “must visit” list again, but we went a few years ago and stayed at the Four Seasons because it was a wedding venue. I have the feeling any return visit could be a major disappointment by comparison.
