What was also amazing about that defensive effort was that Utah’s guards could not match the speed of Arizona’s. Great fundamental and help defense. Only Majerus, and a very well trained team, could make it work. And with two day’s preparation.
Miller’s performance was the best in Ute history, given the stage and circumstances.
This is a gut punch
Bill Mazeroski passed. My first baseball memory is coming home from school to find out that the Yankees lost to the Pirates in the 1960 World Series on Mazeroski’s walk off home run. Boy did I cry.
Surprisingly, I became a Pirate fan in 1966.
He suffered from bipolar disorder. Sounds like it was suicide. Damn.
Old time Salt Lake Golden Eagles fans may remember this man. His jersey (alongside the jersey of Doug Palazzari) used to hang in the Salt Palace rafters.
I am and I do!!
Remember him well. I went to a lot of Golden Eagles games back in the 70’s and early 80’s.
Damn, this is awful.
Agreed, to be so young makes this very tough to come to grips with.
