I used to have an odd past time of watching televangelists on Sunday mornings (before Cable TV) after I heard Neil Diamond’s “Brother Love’s Travelling Salvation Show”
Swaggart was one of the worst, but I bumped him up to a C- after I found out his cousin was Jerry Lee Lewis.
I stumbled upon this PBS program with interviews of Bill Moyers over the years, by Terry Gross, and am sharing it here as I think people will find it interesting. He was a thoughtful, well informed, articulate, honest journalist, and a keen observer of some of the most important political, historical and social changes over his lifetime. It’s well worth the investment of time listening.
Soccer fans (especially those who follow the EPL as I do) will miss him. Been with Liverpool for a while and regularly played for the Portugal national team.
I really liked Madsen in Kill Bill. I love dirtbag characters in movies and he was a proper dirtbag in Kill Bill. His boss at the strip club was an even bigger/better dirtbag.
Our 20.5 year old Tuxedo cat, Olivia, AKA The Silent Assassin, had to be put to sleep today after spiraling down in the last couple of weeks. My wife’s kitty since her birth and mine since 2009. Pretty rough day here. Kitty in the back (Ziggy) is still a young cat.
I have a feral tuxedo cat that has adopted our backyard as a hangout. He likes to come to my sliding glass door and give us his “Worship me Human” look.
I loved the guy but he didnt seem the have to reach super hard. Still excellent presence and mojo.
Wondering if he was a bit altered for this interview…
Owning a pet is a long goodbye. So sorry for your loss. We are cat people and sobbed like babies the last time we lost our cat. It’s great you have a younger one to hang out with you cuz they will need you both as well

Wondering if he was a bit altered for this interview:
Still its interesting because it reminds me of altered Kerouac being interviewed by uptight Steve Allen:
I’m not slagging! He’s an amazing artist; and artists’ are at times contrarian, troubled and perplexing. But as Jerry also once sang: “Honest to the point of recklessness…”
Here’s an excerpt of one of my favorite Michael Madsen moments:
