PAC 12 Portal Transfers

Can we create a special room for non-Utah fans to argue with each other?

Why do u do that?……imply racist motives. If you have some evidence then present it. Otherwise maybe consider swallowing your whistle from here in out.

I’m sorry & you’re right. My apologies and I won’t do it anymore.

Because SC has a history of that. Ask a few of my friends who have written about it for the LA Times. I get it is more comfortable to have a blind eye toward hiring practices. I gave Alabama HELL when they hired Mike Shula over Sylvester Croom. I will never swallow my whistle as most want. I am glad guys like Brian Flores are blowing up the NFL today as well. There is soft racism that happens in higher learning institutions. It’s kind of guys like Bill Maher who claim ‘liberal’ but then never bring a Mexican American as a panelist. Hollywood is notorious for overlooking the larger Mexican American community as well. Sorry, if that topic bothers you.

Trying to segregate people. interesting. (this is tongue in cheek before someone gets bent out of shape)

Lacarea Pleasant-Johnson has entered the Transfer Portal.

He is going to do just fine at Ole Miss for a season or so, then likely go pro if he stays healthy. He knows his media exposure is going to come in the SEC. Dart, like Charlie Brewer, may not ignite the same team chemistry that a Cam Rising generates.

Jackson Dart knew his “exposure” was going to be to the bench with the arrival of Caleb Williams. That’s why he left. Same with Slovis.

Nevertheless, Dart is going to be good. He has a swagger about him and will do very well under the Tarmac Firing. Wish he would have stayed but it’s a new age now.

I read that Peter Costelli has visited Northwestern. Would be a good landing spot for him.

That’s right. Get used to it. This is just Dr. Dre pocket change. Wait until Rick Caruso, Steven Spielberg & George Lucas get involved. Arranging deals is what we know how to do.

Hopefully we’ll be able to rebuild before people catch on and realize this is going to kill college athletics.

…I hope we curb stomp the ever-loving hell out of those guys in the upcoming season.

LOL. Do you think Alabama or Utah are scared of the Trojans? Lincoln is 1-3 against the SEC as a whole and 0-1 against Alabama. Last time we played SC we had an open tryout for QB1. Y’all were confident then. Lane Kiffin killed y’all’s defense with play-calling 52-6. Saban’s defense made y’all look pedestrian on offense.

Then you have the Kings of the Pac 12 loaded coming back. Do you think you were one QB away from beating a team that housed you 42-26 in your own crib? You act like Williams is playing both ways.

Not to mention your recruiting class was 65th: 2022 Recruit Football Team Rankings

Better to be quiet and listen to your Beats while grown folks are going to playoffs and New Years’ day bowls.

Ok, looking at the South as we get ready for Spring practice / Spring Game…

Colorado - Better recruiting class, but player development and coaching with Dorrell is still a big question mark. Likely they become the bottom feeder outright in the division.

ASU - Based on the size of the dumpster fire in Tempe, they could be contending with Colorado for the bottom of the division. Herm and his staff seem to have checked out while continuing to collect a paycheck. They still have returning talent, but right now they seem rudderless.

UCLA - Chip 2.0 did what Chip 2.0 does, he hopes his staff can recruit the players they need. Honestly, lastly year’s Ruins has the best defense we have seen since joining the PAC 12. Offensively, Chip has yet to adapt the play calling to the talent, and the next player he actually develops in Inglewood will be the first. Recruiting didn’t bring a lot of joy or help. They will likely be fighting for the middle of the pack.

Arizona - Between recruiting and the Transfer Portal, Arizona might be dangerously good this season ala USU’s transformation from worst to first last season. Frisch proved he could coach up a team to be competitive on game day. Can he coach this new crew up to win?

USC - New Coach…new players…new culture??? Getting Lincoln Riley and a lot of his players out of Norman puts a new face on the Trojan program. Looking at recruiting is given the Transfer Portal dump into (and out of) the program leaves things pretty muddled here in the upcoming first season. Regardless, USC is always talented, and based on that talent will always be considered a contender for the division. Though not a possible USU-type story, winning the division would definitely put the national pundits on high alert. That said…

Utah - In many ways this recruiting class has been rated as the best class Utah has ever had going in. The transfer portal was sixes so far. Given the amount of returning talent on offense, and the fact the defense has proven an ability to simply reload every year, and they won the division and the conference last season, they get the nod to win the division again.

In the “Conference of Cannibals” winning is always a battle of attrition and playing up to the challenge on game day. As much as the pundits have ignored out Sunday Morning Football out here in the west, it has been very competitive. Based on the recruiting and changes, 2022 will be another highly competitive season.

You forgot that Whitt is probably the best HC in the country at developing talent. How he’s able to get 3* recruits and make them 5* performers makes him the most underrated coach in America. He’s hands down the best in the Pac 12 overall.

A big positive for Utah about the situation with Riley is the expectations monster will leave SLC and be planted squarely at USC.

Fans and the media will expect an immediate transplant of the Caleb Williams show to SoCal, and anything less will be considered a let down.

It will take them a couple of years (minimum) to get the LOS situation matching the high calibre QB and skills position talent.

The thermonuclear spotlight on Riley, Williams, et al, will be relentless and will cause problems… this year.

I’m not Patrick Mahomes, OK? If he had the blocking I do, he wouldn’t be Patrick Mahomes, either!

That monster ain’t goin’ anywhere, it’s settling in for an extended stay.

It’s going to be interesting seeing the HC of the 76th defense get the 89th defense. Meanwhile, Utah has a Top 40 Offense and the #27 Offense. I have expectations of a playoff run for the Utes.

I only regret that I have but one star to give to this post.

MY impression of Riley at USC is that it’ll be OU 2.0. Lots of offense, mediocre at best defense. Other than that, I don’t see much changing in the South this season. I very well may be wrong. I am just going off of impressions of Riley at OU, and by extension the Big XII.

I just want to beat all the South teams…again.

I have discovered that there really isn’t anything I like about any of them, all sports considered.
