Nice.
I’ll make some Risi e Bisi this evening with some shrimp. I expect it to be tasty.
BTW I’m jealous of your gas stove. We aren’t plumbed for gas here, and it makes some cooking rather tricky.
Swedish Meatballs and Beef Stew for the weekend.
I didn’t realize what the hubbub about gas stoves was until I got one. Electric is just fine, but gas…the expression “Now we’re looking with gas” makes total sense.

I found this little gem, and I swear by it. However, I add garlic and butter to everything, so If I don’t have the garlic herb butter stick, I can still find a way.

Mmmmmmm…savory.
That looks fabulous!

Yeah, same here, first gas range and I immediately understood that phrase.
However, at one part of my career, I had an Black man working for me who lived most of his life in various parts of Texas, and always enthusiastically used the phrase,
“Alright! Now were cooking with Grease”.
Still have not figured that one out. He was a great cook, a wonderful employee and eventually a good friend, with whom I’ve sort of lost touch… I supposed I should have just asked ![]()
