I saw a stat somewhere that this is the 22nd(?) straight year at least one Utah UDFA has made an NFL roster. Says a lot about the program.

Covey back to the Eagle’s practice team. $17,500-$22,000 per week unless he gets pulled up for a game, then he gets prorated $1.1M/17 (nfl min for veteran with 3 years experience). Good for him.

Found this list of Utes in the NFL. Along with Covey (Eagles just traded Jax some picks for a RB that they also expect to return kicks), Huntley is back with the Ravens on the practice squad. Caleb Lohner on Broncos PS, Junior Tafuna on Texans PS, Yassmin on Chargers PS, Braeden Daniels on Dolphins PS, Zemaiah Vaughn on Vikings PS, Miles Battle on Patriots PS, and Terrell Burgess ('20) and Nephi Sewell on Saints PS.
Gives them an opportunity to get reps, get almost or around $1M, and keeps the dream alive.

JAX dumb for not extending him. Some were starting to say the ‘bust’ word, but in this contract year, he’s leading the league with 4 INTs and wreaking havoc. The 99-yd pick-6 against KC was awesome.

He’s never been out of the league. Unless you count the brief periods he was on the Browns practice squad/ not active roster.
