Florida game

One of my recent favorites from Coach Saban.

He looks better this way…

Saban has a heck of a coaching tree for sure. Time will tell how Napier does at UF. Again, we can be 2-2 at the end of this month, and still be a better program. There is so much he has to fix.

I had you starting 0-2 with a great season. I think you have the toughest schedule of any team in September this season. I know this board probably isn’t paying attention but UK is a tough team and could win the EAST. Tennessee is getting back to their old ways as well.

The good part about opening with a team like Utah instead of say a Northwest nowhere state, is you get an idea of what you have. The 1’s seem ok, but there is some serious depth issues, especially on the DL. Utah showed that in the 2nd half. We also need to hang onto the ball better, but I really like our RBs. Etienne has major upside, but was way lucky that ball bounced well for him after he dropped it. Truth is we are one or two injuries away from a major disaster. We have to keep Richardson healthy, because well…you know.

I think Bama is going to curb stomp Texas, btw. I heard they had two Freshman starting on their OL…uh oh. And yes, Kentucky is a much better football team under Stoops. I am very impressed with what he has done there, and Heupel seems to have the Vols trending in the right direction.

I schedule is very difficult, but a lot of the tough games are at home. We go to aTm and Tennessee, and Florida State. Not sold on the Noles yet, but they seem better. I really do not see anybody in the East stopping Georgia though. Sure Kentucky might do it, and strange things can happen in Jacksonville when we play the mutts, but they just look too good frankly.

One game at a time right.

I’m not sold on Tennessee or FSU. LSU is :wastebasket:.

I certainly hope Bama curb stomps TU.

What little I saw of the game, Richardson is legit. I was not happy to see that he was able to run in and around our DL, based upon stat line I saw. What I hope is that he’s just a freak of nature and that is why our defense had issues with him.

Seems you guys gave Rising some fits, but he still played decently well. I didn’t get to see much other than the last 2 minutes of the game. So, my oberservations could be faulty.

Just QB sneak Rising and you win the game. Not sure why y’all were handing the ball off on the one.

Hell if I know what the thought process was. I just saw that Rising had a near pick and the pick on the last drive.

Well, SUU will be in for a stomping I think. Looks like we Utes need some style point wins.

Brian Kelly was dropping F-bombs on TV again.

Did he get a reallotment after leaving South Bend?

Well, just my humble opinion, but he is a total freak, ok. Incredible athlete, but still raw. Rising is a legit QB, and so is your RB and TE’s and you have a really good OL. This just could be wishful thinking on my part, but a lot of defenses are going to be scratching their heads over Richardson., so don’t be too hard on your D.

I have been watching Utah a lot since well, 2004, and we know why. Your school is excellent in academics and all around athletics, and I respect that. I also loved the state of Utah when I visited. Incredible scenery. I have Florida in my blood, but Utah is not a bad place.

Good luck the rest of the way. That might seem self serving, but honestly, I do hope you kick the crap out of the rest of the Pac 12, especially the condoms.

I suspect all of the PAC wants to kick the snot out of the condoms and fUCLA.

I’m not worried about our QB, RBs, or TEs we know that they’re good. I was just concerned about the defense. All articles I’ve read say he’s an extremely gifted athlete. So, to see one like him once in awhile isn’t much of a concern. To see other QBs do similar, I’ll be much more concerned.

Not yet, just wait until October.

I’m not sure why you consider us wanting to give you some appropriate “parting gifts” during you PAC-12 farewell tour as hostile. I guess there is no pleasing some spoiled children people.

I am kind of hesitant to post this as you have probably had enough of the opener, but it is a classic shot, one of the best I have ever seen and Utah fans were there with a great fan base, so…

It’s easy to see the Ute fan section in the corner & lots of Utes in the end zone, but for the road team - do they typically get seats on the 50?

Great shot, BTW, and best of luck to you guys, as well. Our opportunity to build from this is based on not getting boat raced, ala Oregon. Whitt made sure our D knows exactly what he thought. (Not demeaning, but definitely motivating)

Florida changed some things, especially around seats right behind the visiting team. So yes, it is now typical, but not when I went to school there. It got a bit…ugly. So, yes, that is typical now. But Utah had as big a fan support as any of our SEC rivals. Wow. I am impressed.

When the USC Trojans came to town back in my day, we were very close to the USC bench. When we blew up rubbers and drifted them down to them, it made them a tad peevish. Can’t imagine why. But really it was Wilbur Marshall that scared them. Sean Salisbury is probably still having nightmares about that guy.

Oh the good ole days.

That student body left or right or whatever…that aint gonna work around here scooter.

I really don’t like USC btw.

You can almost hear my 8-month old granddaughter screaming from there. (In retrospect, taking her to the game wasn’t the brightest of ideas. The hearing protection was fine, but all those people and the interminable shuttle bus rides did her in.)
