I’m pretty sure fireworks are banned in this area, but people don’t care.
Someone was letting off fireworks last night in my neighborhood even though Ogden City put out a map of the banned areas and everything.
Now, more than any time in my memory, we have “the rules don’t apply to me” attitude. I wonder where that comes from? (rhetorical)
Yep. I live just south of there in Fruit Heights. These days, I really hate the human species.
It was amazingly quiet here in Magna last night.
I hope it stays that way tonight.
Maybe we should have a club…kinda like Al Bundy’s N.O. MA’AM, but for idiot humans in general.
I’m in Nashville for the week, very curious if anyone pays attention to the ban or if it’s the usual warzone.

We’re lazy and watch fireworks from the deck. I haven’t seen any yet. I’m pleasantly surprised and shocked!

Tonight’s quiet in the BTF, last night there was quite a bit, but well within the city.
Magna just went war zone. I need some gummies.
My neighborhood is also lit up. I didn’t dose the doggies, so it’s a full melt down inside my house.
West Jordan City just had a huge fireworks show. So much for a fireworks ban
I thought that cities could still do their shows, but private citizens couldn’t light them off anymore. And that they were encouraging everyone to attend the city-run shows.
True. But I think it sets a bad example.
My hood was actually pretty quiet. A couple of booms but that was it. I heard that a lot of people went out on the salt flats, which is a problem itself. But I was happy that the east millcreek / sugar house area I’m in was pretty obedient.

There was only one idiot out there last night in my hood. I understand they got cited by the fire marshal and got their Wyoming imports taken from them.
Karma happens.
Just a couple of fireworks here in my Ogden neighborhood last night, but two of my rescues, Ernesto and Manzanita, went berzerk. I don’t want to have to dose them with their drugs unless I absolutely have to. I wish people were more considerate of folks with PTSD and pets who can’t stand the loudness.
