stay safe out there my Ute brethren. With the first known case of community spread in Park City it seems like the time to be extra cautious. I live in Layton, close to Weber canyon so if over the next month someone needs assistance near me, let me know. Iāll help where I can. This board has been a great to me and for me for many years.
My wife is in her 40ās, but had a double lung transplant in her 30ās and is immune-suppressed. She typically requires hospitalization once every 18 months or so for pneumonia, so this virus scares the hell out of me. And lungs are so fragile. We decided to take some drastic measures about 10 days ago, and now with the community spread I think weāll tighten down even more.
This has also been a great resource to get info, so thank you, and lets try and watch out for each other where we can.
A couple of things Iāve encountered that made me thing twice about virus spread:
- gas pump handles and gas pump screens, how many hundreds of people touch those everyday
- your mail (probably not a bad idea to gather it and Lysol it or let it sit for 24 hours before opening it)
- screen on your cell phone
- the other day I was using on of those new Coke dispensers with all of the different flavors and thought this easily the equivalent of a bacteria cruise ship
Lots of things we do everyday that were perfectly fine, we need to be more cautious about.

I wish more people did use a dictionary. Amazing how limiting some would keep their vocabulary with English being such an expansive and expressive language.
