Well, I didn’t see the Baylor win coming. I picked Okie State.
That said, perhaps Brewer’s issues are in his head, and not with the 2 teams he left behind.

Just got home from Vegas and watching the game. After McKinley intercepts the ball he runs over to the sideline and writes “Thorpe” on a whiteboard . Could you imagine anyone on Utah doing that?
What was all that about? I wondered what “Thorpe” had to do with that interception, so I googled it:
And no, I cannot imagine any Utah player doing such a thing. Especially when his own team is losing.

I truly believe one of the things that is truly big at Utah is the “family” thing, and a team mentality… I can;t remember the last time we had a true primadonna jackass on our teams. Kyle would NOT put up with it; whereas at programs like Oregon, USC, Alabama, tOSU, etc its an ego fest to rival Dante’s inferno.
I Honestly believe that, even with his flaws, Ron McBride laid the groundwork for that, which thankfully survived Urban’s time, and Kyle picked it up and ran.
Even after Kyle does retire, that culture wil continue here… the fanbase and boosters wil probably demand it. SOmething to distinguish us from all the Cali and other schools where everything is just ME ME ME and ego trips.

Believe it or not but circumstances beyond my control have prevented me from watching the first half of the conference title game. So I just started watching and saw the first Utah TD.
I’m curious to hear from you folks on the 4th and 1 play. Why no review? Did he make that play? Not that it matters.

Everyone knows the home team gets 3 points. So yes, we are 31 points better at home. 28 on a neutral field.

I remember you, nearly 2 decades ago, dreaming out loud in the hay day of this website about Utah playing in a Rose Bowl. Of watching the Utah marching band marching in the Rose Parade playing Utah Man.
It happened, man! IT HAPPENED!!!

Seemed a somewhat tight game, few calls in our favor (including a 3rd PI to extend our opening drive) and a few against us. Have to get a feel for the guys in stripes in Pasadena and adjust if needed.

We saw what happened in this game two weeks ago. Now, Utah and Oregon meet with the Pac-12 title on the line.
Oregon rebounded from its 38-7 loss to Utah with a 38-29 rivalry win over Oregon State in a game that wasn’t quite what the final score reflected. The Ducks had the ball for more than 37 minutes, converted 10-of-13 third downs and outgained the Beavers 506-393. Anthony Brown threw two touchdown passes and ran for another while Travis Dye also contributed a pair of scores. To beat the Utes, the Ducks will need to be better on the ground this time around. They ran for 63 yards and gave up 208 in the first meeting. The experience could also play a part here — this is Oregon’s third consecutive appearance in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
Oddsmakers don’t love the Ducks in this rematch, having them open as 3-point underdogs. These teams will square off at 8 p.m. ET Friday on ABC in Las Vegas.
The Utes maintained the momentum from their upset of Oregon by stifling Colorado in a 28-13 win. Cameron Rising threw three touchdowns while TJ Pledger and Tavion Thomas each eclipsed 100 yards on the ground. Utah’s rushing attack has topped 200 yards in four of the past five games and will likely need a similar effort against Oregon. The Utes had 208 yards in that first win over the Ducks. Another big day on the ground could power Utah to the program’s first-ever Rose Bowl.
