Colorado likely jumping to B12

That’d be cool. . . I wish I could play like I could back in College. . . sadly many Americans I know struggle to even play in the Turkey Bowl when they are in their early 40’s.

or imagine this conference if the flagship football program wasnt in a coma for 15 years.

Washington really has been in a coma.

which was (partially) caused by Larry Scott allowing the “flag ship” program to receive sanctions second in severity only to SMU because Reggie Bush’s parents accepted free rent on a condo in San Diego.

That and some bad coaching hires.

FTFO!

Official statement

It’s P12’s own fault for not only having hired an incompetent leader, but also following his moves.

In the absence of an actual detailed announcement from the PAC I think we’re at the point where assumptions that anything “Good” is happening behind the scene do not have merit.

I’m going to watch Neflix and NASCAR and hell…maybe soccer or something until things are resolved. No other business that is dependent upon fans would do this to the fans…and expect to keep them.

NASCAR is, for the record, a nice diversion from the zero-sum tribal atmosphere of football.

As far as I can see, the P12 has said literally nothing about this at all.

You’d think they would bother to even put out a cursory statement like “We look forward to moving ahead with our member institutions and exploring avenues for getting our product to the fans…blah, blah, corporate speak, corporate speak”.

The complete silence at this point feel like just…incompetence.

PAC CEO group meets today, per Canzano. I’d be surprised if they have anything of substance to say, but who knows?

On another site a legit insider at the U said there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that will eventually come out, and he agrees the communication and PR has been poor from the conference. He says reason to be optimistic about Utah FB.

People are angry & anxious - and it’s 100F in SLC - but I don’t get the sense this insider is burning his credibility. Is this the event to get the academics acting urgently? Or is this Chernobyl? (I know which way it feels, right now.)

I would like to play poker with the PAC12 presidents. They can’t read the room and they appear to swallow everything George tells them.

No one will leave the Big 12 for the Pac 12 anytime soon. The Big 12 has a signed media deal and the PAC 12 doesn’t. I imagine the PAC 12 has some options that have been shared with schools already. Colorado saw enough to know that it will not come close to matching the guarantee in the Big 12 so they left.

Now, the PAC 12 is in an even worse negotiating situation. They lost their two biggest programs already and now lost another. Why wouldn’t other schools want to follow the money too? I think they will and any potential media partner should worry about that too.

The PAC 12 may be left with little to offer.

Colorad9 was probably worried about how they were going to pay coach Prime’s buyout when they fire him

If Cam gets hurt and we go 8-4 it will have been one of our more miraculous seasons ever. We could easily go 8-4 with Cam. Really tough schedule.

Good point and I agree.

This was already going to be a tough season, and all this chaos is just going to amplify it.

8-4? If Utah goes 6-6, and with no good conference options, it’s going to be fun watching the Utah fan base. Haha

Bring in SDSU,call it the Pac 10 again and tell everyone to go away, or we shall taunt them a 2nd time

Preach it. You and I could go watch the beatdown at Snapdragon every other year.

I weirdly would love the most off the wall invite. Don’t pull from G5.

Add CSU and NM. The National Parks in conference will be unbeatable.
