Well “Dining with the Mob” was always an adventure at the Coachmen.
Yes, I was. Go Rams.
Horrible tragic story which I’ll never forget.
The next time I see my neighbor I’ll ask him. He is a regional manager for Arctic Circle.
Anyone ever go to the Greek burger places? Apollo is my favorite. Crown is fine.
I haven’t had their steak in decades. I always get the Malibu chicken with the unlimited shrimp and the salad bar. Love the “salad” bar. Wings, good soup, spaghetti and meatballs, tacos, and whole avocados at the salad part of the bar.
Every time I’m back in Salt Lake I hit one of them. I enjoy their food and the atmosphere. My mom and dad know the managers at the on on 90th and State. They go there too often probably.
My son was Senior Class President for the Class of 2016. Go Rams!
Crown Burger is the best drive in burger around. I’ve recently discovered that the burgers at the Shooting Star Saloon are the best anywhere. But, chips, no fries.
Atlas and Atlantis are good too. Basically, they are all the same. I know that the lady at Atlantis is the aunt of the guy that runs Atlas.
Not to take this thread away from fine dining experiences at Sizzler, Arctic Circle, and Apollo Burger (ok, yes that is my point) but what do people think of Stanza down on 3rd S about 450 E? We had my daughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner there last month and we thought it was very good. We’ll definitley go back if we have ever really start going back to restaurants, plays, movies & such.
They could have done it with 2 animals.
I always wondered what that place was like, because I’m a sucker for “The Lumberjack Special” myself …
I’ve got nuthin but time.
Their marquee says: Come in, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Yeesh.
Yes I’ve always enjoyed that sign too. Still have yet to go there. Hear they have great deals on meth in the restrooms. Not even joking. Well kind of. It’s one of those “half” jokes.
Anyone remember B.C. Chicken? They had an operation going too. I found out a little too late…
You, me, and our DC. Although, I was actually only there for a semester in my sophomore year before my parents moved. One of three high schools I attended, but by far my favorite!
Go Rams!
We love that place. It’s at the top of our list for a nice evening out, a celebration dinner, etc. Excellent service, pleasant, elegant but simple atmosphere, great food and an interesting menu that doesn’t try too hard. Haven’t been there since you-know-what began.
ok, here we go…
I worked for a summer, in the 70’s, while in high school, for Dee’s as a night time janitor, which I found out later was a cheap way to provide security for their buildings and the guys that came by in the early hours to pick up the money.
I worked at the 94th and 7th, 34th and State, 21st and 7th, 11th and State, and occasionally one east on 72nd. Occasionally, I worked at all of the above the same shift
Working there was where i drew the line, I never ate at the place…
Loved the place the only time I was there a few years ago, glad to hear it’s still good - I CANNOT WAIT FOR COVID-19 TO BE OVER SO I CAN GO OUT TO EAT AGAIN!!!
