And I thought we were proud that we lived in a country that has eradicated measles and polio, among other diseases. If we want to be more careful about some vaccine mandates, and there’s evidence to support that increased caution, fine. But banning them all? Seriously?

Not really. Under his watch it’s all become about him and the bench for the Democratic party has gone away. He got lucky that he ran against two of the most unlikeable people in Kentucky. Which is saying something considering we have Mitch McConnell

You know how when you check-in at an Instacare they ask “Have you traveled outside the US in the past 14 days?”

It’s now going to be, “Have you traveled outside the US or to Florida in the past 14 days?”

I’m glad my child rearing days are over. But if i had young kids, Florida would be off the table with this current ruling. And if I’m an event planner for a large organization, this would be part of the consideration.

Mrs SkinyUte really wanted to do Disney World with the kids next year and I was looking at doing the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise again in 2026 (which leaves from FL).

After this announcement, we both agreed to scrap those plans. Florida is off the table as a vacation destination for the foreseeable future. Somewhere else will get the several thousands of tourist dollars we would have spent there.

Well, it’s relative. Here in Utah, well, there isn’t much to say about a bunch of greedy, spineless, evil-doing politicians. Utah, a leader in rape and minor sexual assaults in the US.

Love the Beatles. That whole second side is an an example of how precious an album was BITD.
Just about 20 years ago I was working a fundraising event , “The Bkack and White Dinner” at La Chaille restaurant and Blood Sweat & Tears played at the event. I stood ten feet away from those guys with probably only about fifty people that had any idea who they were. They sounded great!
Brought back a flood of 12 yo memories as well.
