So far, TTech’s elite D is looking the part.
Oregon’s defense is excellent, and TTech’s offense is the weak link, to this point.

Offense is questionable (was for 3/4 of the game against us too) but that defense is elite.
EDIT: @Ma-ake JINX! You owe me a Coke. ![]()
Deal!!!
(Or in some parts of Utah, DILL!)
I take that back. Tech’s offense is hilariously bad.
Texas Tech got worked. Not a good look for the Big12, lol. Definitely solidifies its status as a single bid league.
as SkinyUte pointed out yesterday, teams with a first round bye are now 0-6 in the 12 team playoff format.
I imagine that’s alarming to the college football power brokers. 16 playoff format with no byes will be the answer.
This stat was noted on r/cfb also. The speculation there, and I agree, is that we’ll see a 16 team playoff sooner rather than later. Many there think as early as next year for the change if Georgia or Indiana lose today.
I don’t know about next year, but within the next 2 or 3 is my guess. FWIW, I don’t know why a 16 team playoff wasn’t done to start with, but I’m just some schmuck in Ea NC now.
I love that Indiana is playing their backups. lol at Bama
Saban rant on NIL coming
Wow. Ole Miss just got absolutely jobbed on a ridiculously blatant facemask non-call.
lololol at Georgia.
So 1-7 now for top 4 teams with a bye to make it through their first round.
That seems like something needing a bit of adjustment.
Time to make it 16 already.
Though having tOSU, UA and UG all go down does make me happy. Now if Miami can lose it’ll be perfect.
It would be apropos if Ole Miss and Indiana got to the Championship Game.
It would also be great to see Lame Kitten get cut loose after one season for not getting to the CFP.
The Indiana fans were lovely, the weather was not. This is honestly the best 4 for football. No Ohio, no Bama and no Georgia.
Agreed, though for each game that Ole Miss wins just means that Kiffin will continue getting checks from the Louisiana education system. So, that’s no bueno.
Eh. I think LSU athletic budget is just oil donors. Drain 'em!
from what I can tell many Texas Tech fans seem satisfied with their 2025 season despite yesterday’s shutout. A large part of that is due to winning the conference and securing the 4th seed.
I’d argue their large 2025 NIL investment paid off for the average TTU fan. If your one of the high roller donors that chipped in for TTU’s NIL are you satisfied with the season? Are you energized or deflated for 2026?
I don’t know how much of TTU football’s $30M salary pool, err… NIL funds, came directly out of Cody Campbell’s pocket - but it was a lot. Utah athletics could really use a generous billionaire alum like TTU has.
We have them. They fund cancer research.
Sure and if it’s always going to be one or the other, cancer research of course is the right answer.. goes without saying.
