Now that NCAA MBB is even a bigger business, this would make sense.
It seems that Alex has a solid plan in place.
Cue all the BYU fans to say, “Copycats!”
This move makes sense, given that college sports are basically professional now.
I agree very much. But he’s not in the portal, right? There are others I want to keep who I haven’t heard are in the portal, like Ezra Ausar.
Dawes hit the portal yesterday.
I’m guessing there is 100% roster turnover to next season. That’s nuts.
Apparently there is a Ute game today in some third-rate tournament. Is anyone left on the roster to play?
I was wondering the same thing. If you’ve entered the transfer portal can you play?
Apparently everyone, sans Lohner because of the NFL draft prep, will be playing.
Can you play? I’m not sure.
Should you be able to play. If it were up to me, I’d say no.
I’m having a tough time thinking I should take the time to watch it today, and I really have nothing better to do. What a sad feeling. I can’t wait for the Alex era and to have some hope again.
I don’t know what you people are complaining about, but I’m focusing on grammar. LOL
““I know it’s the first year of the Crown (and) I haven’t went through the whole process of experiencing it, but so far, it’s been first class, the way they’ve operated, the way they’ve communicated,” Utah interim head coach Josh Eilert said.”
I hope we can recover these guys. They are good enough players to make March Madness with the right coach and some key addiitions. This will be good early test for the coaches etc.
Utah 46 - 42, halftime.
I started watching in the second half, and I have seen a typical Utah Ute basketball game: give up a semi-big lead, turn the ball over left and right with sloppy passes and abysmal ball handling, miss multiple layups, miss free throws, brick threes, and give give up threes.
Add one more loss to the season, 84 - 86.
So, the Utes just lost to a team with a losing record in a third-rate postseason tournament in a game in which they gave up a double-digit lead in the second half. Pretty much everyone is leaving the team. Jensen has his work cut out for him. But this crap-fest has to stop. This program has too proud of a tradition. In the NIL and transfer portal era, I hope Jensen can turn things around.
Not a silver lining – 8 TO and 70% FT.
Sharavjamts: 1-8 (inconsistent as usual)
Miro: 2-8 (see above)
Gabe Madsen: 6-18 (story of his season. His shooting really fell off against decent D1 players).
I think in his last three games, Gabe was like 12-45 from the three-point line.
