in the last minutes of the game at one point TCU went 11 for 11 from the field. Fortunately TCU’s game is primarily inside and only one of those made 11 shots was a three. It was pretty incredible that Utah won with the Horned Frogs shooting so well during that stretch.
I’m impressed with Alex. He seems to be getting the most out of this team. In hindsight, it sure looks like we made a mistake not hiring him after Krysko.
Do you know better than Alex Jensen why he didn’t remain a candidate in 2021? He didn’t give the reason you’re implying. Also, at the time Harlan hired Craig Smith it was widely praised as a home run hire, by John Wilmer, among others.
In spite of the program’s travels in the desert over the last 20 or so years it is still 43rd in overall victories in D1. Sadly the program is 300 games behind K-State (really?) for 42nd place.
Wilner has a history of being incorrect on many things. He was a pretty big rah rah guy for the PAC12, kept saying right up to U$C leaving that it’d stay together, iirc. Now he’s a rah rah guy for the Big XII. He’s entertaining at times, but take what he writes like you would Greg Wrubell or Dick Harmon.
Good effort last night. Wildcats came out blazing from the 3-pt line and Utah potentially could have wilted and lost by a few dozen, but stayed in it until the end.
I was just pulling something over from reddit that caught my eye, and seemed relevant to the Men’s BBall discussion. The wikipedia page looks better for us, at least for now. Still being behind THEM is unpleasant. Hopefully in the near-ish future the program improves by leaps and bouds.
It was. It is interesting to look at it either way, historically in wins we are high, but that is not registering in polls, to which I don’t think we are that surprised.
Leading 24-23 at the 8 minute TO. We went red hot the last few minutes.
There seems to me that there is decent improvement with many players through the course of the year. Sanders, Okonkwo (sp?), and Abbey are holding their own.
