What a statement win. Way to bounce back and get a split on arguably the toughest road swing in the nation.
Solid win. Makes Thursday look like an aberration.
Didnāt watch the game. What happened to Palmer? Injured again?
Got my wish of a split in LA and beating SC. Guess thatās all a man can ask for. haha
Amazing win. Utes had 20 fewer shots, outrebounded, more turnovers. Crazy stay - 21 assists on 23 made shots. JuJu scores 30 on 30 shots.
Yes, Palmer played only 3 minutes in the win at home against Colorado and didnāt suit up for either game in LA. Havenāt read anything about a possible return. This team is basically down to a six man rotation, with Ross, Crispe, and White basically playing token minutes. Though I have to give credit to White, she came in at the end to help against the press and hit a very clutch drive and score late in the game.
To reiterate the good comments here, this team didnāt give up. How easy would it have been to fold the tent in the 3rd quarter when USC made a run to tie the game (with both Young and Vieira with 4 fouls) and instead they run off an 8-0 run. Just awesome.
Apparently not to the AP voters today. Utah didnāt move a single spot in their rankings. After beating a TOP TEN TEAM ON THE ROAD. Not one. Thatās the AP poll crucifying them for losing at UCLA. Basically, the AP poll is a bunch of bullshizz. It tells me that they were going to drop Utah COMPLETELY out of the poll after their loss at UCLA and had to save face by not dropping them after winning at USC. Essentially, they had to beat TWO TOP TEN TEAMS ON THE ROAD to move up a SINGLE SPOT. Wow. Seriously AP voters? A little harsh donāt you think?
So, the opposite of the Alabama football effect.
I have stopped following human polls. I see little validity in the results.
Algorithmic ranking systems are the only way to fly.
Well of course. The voters needed to leave room for Notre Dame to leapfrog us. After all, the Irish went 2-0 last week⦠against ACC opponents with a combined conference record of 7-25.
Although I, too, donāt care much about human-rankings, I think our no-move is fine. We got embarrassed by UCLA and then got a close, good win against USC. Meh. To be fair, I have yet to really study the, for example, 5 teams above us. We are the 4th/5th/6th ranked team in P12.
Although I, too, donāt care much about human-rankings.
Agree 100%. Human rankings are mostly a popularity contest, completely subjective, biased, almost worthless. Digital/statistical computer polls (as long as itās not Google Gemini based) are much more objective, fair.
Jenna Johnsonās lips are kind of like Catherine Zeta-Jones, beautiful and they curl up at the end, sort of permanent smile, even when she is not smiling. Iām relatively old, give me a break.
Not Utes related. This is a fantastic AP article about an NAIA player. Now, she personifies being a student-athlete.

Utah sits on the 5 line.
Just canāt shake that 5. Maybe a sweep of the Washington schools gets them into the top 16.
That was excellent. Just hearing about how much work it is to even attend and pass the classes gives me PTSD about my organic chemistry experience at the U.
Hosting 1st and 2nd round games is quite important.
