2023 Rose Bowl Thread: Utes vs. Nittany Lions

Whit mentioned that Redding is gone, but Noyes is still with the team.

I’m going to buy tickets off of the secondary market. One of our party going with us struggles doing lots of stairs. Any recommendations for what row we should be looking at for tickets? Having never been to that stadium I assume sitting near a portal would be ideal, from what i can tell that would be around rows 20 - 35ish. Anyone know?

I like. What you you all think?

This isn’t the official game uniform is it? Looks like the fan concept design revealed earlier today.

I don’t know. I haven’t been following this very closely. I was told this is the uniform that will be worn. But take that with a grain of salt, because it’s secondhand.

I’m an A10 Warthog guy. Takes a lickin’, keeps on bombin’. spoke to one of its designers once, very cool.

From the exterior of the stadium you walk on a ramp that ends up putting you inside the stadium at about row 25. From that point, you are either walking down or up stairs. My opinion is that the best seats are rows 25-50. The stadium has a ver gradual slope, so I do t like the view from the seats below the concourse.

Good news: Nate Johnson can play in the Rose Bowl and still redshirt. The NCAA passed a waiver so that post season games doesn’t count as one of the four games that are permitted and still be considered a redshirt season.

IMO it’s best to be above row 30 and below row 50, if you can manage that. But in any case, what I always say to myself about these situations is, “Hey! It’s The Rose Bowl and you’re there watching your team!”

Question about Rose Bowl tickets: I got mine through the U/Crimson /Club. The Rose Bowl ticket website says we should sign in to our account on our smart phones, and that out phone will be our ticket. I am pretty sure this means we will then be able to download our ticket to our phones (to Wallet for iPhone users). It happens that I can’t log on through my phone for the next few days and check. Has anyone else already downloaded their ticket? Am I right?

You are correct. You must have the latest version of the rose bowl app on your phone, log into it, and then you can manage tickets from the app, either transfer/sell them, or download to your phone wallet.

I downloaded the Rose Bowl app then downloaded the tickets into wallet on my iphone. Pretty simple and I’m ready to go.

Thanks, @Mineral and @salUTE.

I just used my Ticketmaster account to manage my tickets and download to my Google wallet. :person_shrugging:

Interesting. Did you buy your tix through the U? I did. Maybe that’s why they’re telling me I must use the Rose Bowl app.

I also bought my tickets from the U. I downloaded the Rose Bowl app and it linked to my Ticketmaster account. I was able to transfer the tickets to apple wallet on my phone. The tickets do not show up in my Ticketmaster app.

I am old and am frightened and confused by modern technology.

Last year the cellular reception was so bad at the gate area that there were at least a hundred of us that couldn’t access our tix !! Eventually ( about 20 minutes) we got some reception. The guy working the turnstile said that it was an issue every week. Hopefully they got it worked out !!

Always download your tickets before hand if possible

As others have said, if you have an Apple device put them in your wallet. Then you don’t need any service.

Got mine through the Crimson Club

What I always do is screenshot the tickets and save them to my photos. Then if no reception, you still have the scannie bit ready to be scanned.
