2021-2022 Recruiting

This is what those in the know are saying. I believe that puts it on Nov 10.

This is From an 247 article on RJ Godfrey

Utah : ā€œCoach Tim Morris has been recruiting me for two years since I was a sophomore. He moved around and was recruiting me at Cincinnati first then he came over to Utah. Our bond was so tight he had to recruit me when he came over to Utah and he showed coach Craig who I was and they started recruiting me hard ever since. Then he got me on an official visit and I fell in love with their campus and it was really nice. It was maybe one of the nicest sceneries I’ve seen. I probably got along with the players there the most out of any other team and their staff has been really friendly too.ā€

Except for Utah, all the remaining schools in RJ purview are in the South.

Go Utes!

That one was free. Here it is in its entirety.

Smart kid. Has good things to say about everybody. Not sure where hes leaning on this one.

It sounds like there is an 11th hour change of heart with chandler and he is now leaning byu.

sigh

It sounds like there might be some changes of how he and the teams recruiting him will approach his mission timing and perhaps schollie availability stemming from that?

I think thats an attempt by a certain insider to try and create a narrative to lessen the sting and its a poor one. There is no scholarship crunch at utah for next year. Even if there was (lets say that mason falslev actually came back to the U (he wont) and absolutely no one decided to transfer or move on from college hoops (LOL)), Craig could go to chandler and say ā€œwho would you like me to cut and they will be gone by march 15.ā€.

Good point. Even with 1 schollie now, easy to ā€˜cut’ less promising players. LK did that for 5 people a year

Did Qualtrics find a job for his dad? Or bro bars or whatever that is?

There could be some appeal to him playing some great teams in the Big 12 in a couple years.

This has been an interesting thread. But it’s tough to keep up with all the changing dynamics.

Will there be a scorecard when the recruiting is all over to show which guys we got and which ones we didn’t get?

There could also be some appeal in playing before an energized fanbase.

Has anyone else heard or read that the zoob Jazz owner stepped in with a NIL offer for Chandler? I guess it’s all over Twitter.
The Hate Hat trick (Hatetrick), the Jazz (actually all of the NBA) and Twitter…and zoobs.

I’m curious if there’s a prohibition of an NBA owner to collude or influence a college athlete? I think Smith has done a good job so far as the new Jazz owner. I doubt he’d risk pissing off a large portion of his Jazz fan base by tipping the collegiate scales. I hope there’s no truth to those rumors.

Done with the Jazz if true.

I’m done with basketball. I have a nephew who is bouncing around the D League, Europe and even had a brief NBA moment. The stories he tells of coaches, agents and influencers have made me sick. Drug dealers and contract killers have higher morals than these people.

Basketball is dirty, downright filthy.

I’ve been done with the NBA since Jordan pushed off. My life has been much richer for it.

If I want high flying entertainment, I will watch the WWE and Indy Wrestling. What these guys are playing now is not basketball.
