New name for the starting line up…
The Osmonds
I’m not gonna lie. This team looks way better than they did last year. They’ve got experience out their ears and a serious amount of length defensively. And they have good perimeter shooters in Madsen, Bajema, and Carlson. I really like the move of Carlson to PF with Lovering at C because it opens up the offense and makes them tougher at the rim to score on. Plus they have a ton of depth, as they bring Keba Keita AND Ben Carlson off the bench. The latter started every game last year. Ben has really improved his perimeter shooting. The addition of SLCC transfer and former BYU guard Hunter Erickson looks like a good move too because he gives quality minutes off the bench to give Rollie Worster rest. And they’re still without Wilguens Exact as well. He’ll be another seriously strong player off the bench. This team looks like an upper echelon Pac-12 team and a possible NCAA Tournament contender if they win some quality games here in the non-con part of their schedule. That all starts next week with games against Wake Forest and likely #7 Houston if they beat the Demon Deacons in the Charleston Classic. They also play @ Saint Mary’s and they play BYU in the Hunty. Plus their annual game at the Delta Center, this year against Hawaii.
