Any guess on the over/under for actual fans in attendance on a sunny warm Saturday at 5:00 PM in March when the coach was just fired?
2,000?
500 max.
I think it will be closer to 5000.
The games I’ve been to the fans seem to know the team has a limited upside, but they appreciate the effort, and… well… it’s the Utes.
Next game is Senior Night. We’ve got some guys who’ve busted @$$ for this school.
So where was this team in Orlando?
They were in SLC
That’s one of the reasons Smith was fired. At home, Utah can look pretty good. On the road, they’re a disaster.
Went on vacation with Utah WBB team at WVA.
Didn’t know ASU had only 7 players active for the game
The box score shows that 10 played, although 3 of them only played 1 minute
The Utes were “led by a 25-point effort from Ezra Ausar, who not only shot 7 of 10 from the floor but 11 of 14 from the free-throw line.”
Maybe the free throw curse left with Craig
And Lovering was 3-4.
Got to give the coaches and players credit. Yeah, ASU isn’t good and was down some players. But with a recently fired coach, not much to play for, and an up-and-down year, Ute players could easily have quit on the season. I appreciate their effort tonight. I expect Utah to beat WVU and then likely lose big at BYU. But a 9-11 conference record wouldn’t be all that bad, all things considered.
The greatest thing ever would be if Utah won at BYU
